The Council has launched its Opportunity Hounslow Business Case for Growth—an ambitious plan for economic renewal and long-term prosperity. This strategy sets the stage for job creation, investment, and community building in the borough. With 300,000 residents and 15,000 businesses, Hounslow is a key player in the UK’s economy. Our plan aligns perfectly with the government’s placemaking agenda, putting Hounslow at the forefront of economic regeneration in London. Cllr Tom Bruce, Deputy Leader, said: "This is a pivotal moment for Hounslow. Growth must benefit everyone, creating good jobs and building stronger communities. Our plan is bold, actionable, and shows we’re ready to lead in the nation’s recovery and future prosperity." Read more: https://lnkd.in/eV5sRXaB

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the GTech Community Stadium for the second Hounslow Assembly last week. Over 450 people joined us on the day for wide-ranging panel sessions, workshops, and keynote speakers. In addition to the scheduled sessions, it was a day full of conversations and connections. Conversations that began in workshops were carried over into the hallways as contact details were exchanged and future collaborative opportunities discussed. From our opening plenary session with Professor Lee Elliot-Major OBE who spoke movingly on social mobility, to our closing panel session moderated by Antonia Jennings from Centre for London, the day showcased a diversity of perspectives on how we can drive forward change through partnership working. Thank you to our speakers, stallholders, business breakfast attendees, and everyone who attended including representatives from across the public and private sectors, to Hounslow residents and community organisations. We hope each of you left the day with new insights, a challenged opinion, increased knowledge, and valuable connections which will help you achieve the challenge presented to you at the opening of the Assembly to ‘go farther together’.
