We’re pleased to announce that Battersea Power Station experienced its strongest Christmas to date with festive sales increasing by 13.4% in November and December 2024 and footfall by 11% compared to the same period in 2023. Fashion sales performed particularly well in lead up to Christmas, growing 11.7% on a like-for-like basis in November and December, while jewellery and accessories sales increased by 13.3% and beauty transactions jumped by 11.2%, compared to the same period in 2023. With over 25 large-scale events and more than 100 brand activations hosted in 2024, there was always something new for visitors to enjoy at the riverside neighbourhood with highlights including the inaugural celebrASIA festival celebrating Southeast Asian heritage and culture, Aperol’s Aperidisco and Arcade Food Hall’s takeover of The Coaling Jetty. With its always on events programme and strong mix of over 150 shops, bars, restaurants and leisure venues, Battersea Power Station has established itself as a must-visit destination in London, welcoming more than 26 million visitors since the Grade II* listed Power Station and Electric Boulevard opened in October 2022. Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing and Asset Management at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: “The extremely strong Christmas trading period we enjoyed at the end of last year underlines Battersea Power Station’s increasingly established position as one of London’s must-visit shopping and leisure destinations. We have worked hard to create a mix of brands, food and beverage offerings and activations that appeal to everyone, and this is reflected in the double-digit growth in both sales and visitor numbers during the 2024 festive period.
