By 2050, the average number of days per year that Europe requires air conditioning will have increased by around 30%. Congratulations to the thirteen Louvolite employees who completed the Mental Health First Aid course last week - in partnership with Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind (TOG Mind). It was a pleasure to facilitate this! It is commendable that, as 'physical' first aiders, they recognise the value of enhancing their skills to support mental health as well. Alongside manufacturing blinds and shutters, this friendly workforce in Greater Manchester is keen to support the wellbeing of colleagues, share their knowledge of support services and challenge the stigma and myths that still surround the topic mental health.
