Colleagues at the Hartlepool 20-inch mill are celebrating after being recertified by an external quality auditing body. Three separate audits by the Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) were carried out to examine the site’s maintenance of the management, factory production control system and its compliance with a number of regulations. These are important certifications as any major adverse finding would lead to the suspension of license and prevent the site from being able to operate. Auditors were happy with what they saw, and the Hartlepool tube site was recertified so it can continue to make and dispatch high-quality tube to customers.
