    In late 2023, companies began refining their flexible work policies. The International Labour Organisation (2023) found that flexibility enhances work-life balance, crucial for employee wellbeing. The report stated that there is a substantial amount of evidence that work–life balance policies provide significant benefits to enterprises, supporting the argument that such policies are a ‘win-win’ for both employers and employees. 🤝 Since the pandemic, more and more businesses have adopted this flexible work initiative alongside the new 'hybrid working' scheme that allows employees to work from home as well as in the office. 'Flexibility' is often confused, and is typically understood solely on location. However, flexible working can also accommodate flexible working hours. ⌚ Of course, organisation must consider how such flexibility could help further their business interests. Work by Breathe (2024) suggests that 63% of businesses found it easier to attract and keep quality staff with a four-day working week. This not only enhances retention, but it can differentiate your business from your competitors within the marketplace when recruiting.
