🌟 Unlocking the Future of Energy: Harnessing AI for Next-Gen Downhole Monitoring 🌟 During the SEAFOM Workshop today in London, UK, Çağrı Cerrahoğlu, AI Product Manager at LYTT, delivered an insightful presentation titled "From first principles to machine learning: evolution in DAS to DTS data analysis." This session highlighted the significant advancements in the quality of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) data over the past decade and the corresponding evolution in data analysis methodologies. Çağrı's presentation detailed how the field has transitioned from relying on first-principle techniques to embracing Machine Learning (ML) for data processing. This shift is driven by ML's ability to manage the vast amounts of DAS data and its capacity to uncover complex, non-linear relationships in downhole monitoring applications, including well integrity and production profiling.
