This is a very interesting tool that we supply to a customer who manufactures IOL’s. This tool is used for finishing concave and convex surfaces, diffractive surfaces and for directly machining the plastic IOL’s but for also producing metal moulds. The tool geometry of a <0.100µm waviness combined with a small radii of 0.125mm, a tight included angle of 40° and a high primary clearance of 20° ensure this customer of a single finishing tool geometry that can machine every surface they need to produce. #diamondtools #diamondturning #iol #optics #ultraprecision

This controlled waviness finishing tool is used for manufacturing polish free contact lenses. The chip-free and running-line free cutting edge ensures this customer of a finished contact lens with no need for polishing after diamond turning. The hybrid insert ensures a tight tool geometry that is capable of machining all lens geometries they need to manufacture. #diamondtools #diamondturning #optics #contactlenses

This insert tool with a 0.100mm radius and a 35° included angle will be used for diamond turning metal moulds. The geometry is used on every finishing tool to ensure one tool geometry can cut every part they have. The industry standard waviness of <0.25µm ensures the customer that every finishing cut will achieve an optical surface that is within specification. #diamondtools #diamondturning #ultraprecision #optics

This 4mm facet tool will be used for producing channels in both plastic and metal materials. This is a unique customer for us and we have no one else using a tool in such a way. This use case underscores our capability to meet unique customer requirements and enhance production precision. If you have specific tooling challenges or wish to discuss potential applications for your operations, please contact us at https://lnkd.in/gkqQTV9t We’re here to help optimize your manufacturing processes. #diamondtools #diamondturning #ultraprecision

This natural diamond tool has a maximum radius size of 0.010mm and a waviness of <0.100µm. It is used for manufacturing the diffractive zone of IOL’s. The small radius ensures a limited shadow/dead zone at the bottom of the diffractive step. The <0.100µm waviness ensures the IOL of an excellent surface form. #m10edge #diamondtools #spdt #innovation

Have you considered making the switch from natural to synthetic diamonds for your applications? This synthetic diamond tool will be used for machining IR materials, specifically ZnS, ZnSe and Ge, this customer has seen that the synthetic diamond gives them a more consistent tool life than the natural diamond tool they’d previously used for decades, this allows them to plan production more accurately and to ensure their yield is improved upon. If you'd like to discuss goint to synthetic please contact our sales experts at https://lnkd.in/gkqQTV9t #diamondtools #diamondturning #ultraprecision #infraredoptics

This tool with a very small radius and a 30° included angle will be used in one of our IOL customers R&D facilities’, working on the next generation of polish free IOL’s they will bring to the market. The tool is used for both rough cutting and finish cutting dependent on the waviness of the particular tool. Hydrophobic, Hydrophilic or PMMA, this tool more than does the job. #diamondtools #diamondturning #iol #ultraprecision
