MEND Roof Project Update 6 – Phase 2 Begins! Have you visited us this season? Galleries 1, 2, and 3 have been refreshed with new floors, paint, and beautifully restored display cases. These updates have created the perfect setting for our new exhibitions, including natural history interpretation, a taxidermy process exhibit, and striking displays of material culture from Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Ethiopia. Now, we’re moving into Phase 2, which focuses on replacing the roofs above galleries 4–7, as well as essential internal maintenance like floors, ceilings, and damp remediation. Some objects will be carefully moved or protected in place, meaning these galleries will temporarily close during the work. Gallery 6, a favourite with families, will be affected—but don’t worry! We have plans to keep key interactive experiences available. We’re excited to announce that Bricktacular Adventures, our free-flow workshops with LEGO® Bricks returns on Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June. This year's event is generously sponsored by H.Goodsell & Son Limited, meaning there’s no extra cost beyond standard admission! Ticket includes museum and gardens access between 10am – 5pm. The project remains on schedule to finish in early June. A huge thank you to our contractors and project partners for their care and expertise.
