Getting the job done is only part of the story, creating a positive, uplifting atmosphere on-site is just as important. A productive workplace thrives not only on hard work but also on the energy and spirit of the people within it. That’s why we were thrilled to hear from Ryan Southern CEng MICE MCIOB, Senior Project Manager at Kier Group, who shared a fantastic shout-out from HMP Lancaster Farms project. His post highlighted a dynamic duo MadiganGill’s incredible welfare cleaners - who have gone above and beyond. Ryan Southern commented “Our latest Employee of the Month at the Lancaster Farms project was a double act! MadiganGill’s two full time cleaners have managed to keep our fantastic 3 storey modular cabins clean and tidy everyday. Not only do they keep the welfare looking like brand new, they do it with a warm smile and speak to everyone. Without them knowing, their bubbly and fun character helps keep my team’s morale and spirit high! I look forward to chatting to them each morning. Well done to Joanne Gott and Daisy Gott for winning this reward, both fully deserve the recognition.” To find out more about our Welfare Clean service, please visit: https://lnkd.in/e5kB_YnB Jason Biddlestone, Steven Barrot, Nathan Paterson #HMPLancasterFarms #locallabour #madigangill #constructionlogistics #JoanneGott #DaisyGott

Last month we were delighted to partner with Skills People Group in hosting an open day helping source and upskill candidates from the local community at the Greater Manchester Skills Academy in Preston. This is part of our candidate uptake for HMP Lancaster project with KIER Construction. It was also a great opportunity to meet candidates and explain the roles and training available in construction. Our aim is to develop our workforce so we can achieve the national coverage, we need for our growing number of UK projects. A special thank you to Barry J. and #JohnGilliard from the Skills People Group for organising the event, and because of their efforts, we look forward to finding additional placements for the candidates within our regional projects at MadiganGill. The day was also supported by our team Brooke Curran, Jason Biddlestone, and Paul Manning who were really pleased with the quantity and number of candidates and felt they would be working with some of them very soon. Tony Ball, Managing Director of MadiganGill Logistics and Demolition said, “providing opportunities to the local community and working with local skills centres across the country fits in well with our community goals, and also helps us with labour and staff requirements in the future.” This event is just one of a number that we are working on, and soon we will be making our way over to Manchester and onto Bristol and Exeter. Thank you again to everyone who supported this event. IN MEMORY OF SCOTT This week marks the seventh anniversary of the loss of our dear colleague, Scott Punnett, who tragically passed away on March 9th, 2018. Scott, a dedicated Logistics Manager at MadiganGill, suffered a fatal heart attack while working on our BMS site for Durkan leaving behind his loving wife, Zoe, and their son Bailey, who was only 11 at the time. There are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year, with a survival rate of less than 1 in 10. It’s a harsh reality, but one that we can all work to change. In memory of Scott, we wanted to make a meaningful difference and so we installed a defibrillator in our head office, along with a memorial plaque, as a tribute to Scott’s life. This defibrillator serves not only as a reminder of Scott but as a lifeline for our colleagues. It continues to protect those who work here every day, offering peace of mind - that help is nearby. Additionally, to support the wider community, we’ve registered the defibrillator with St. John Ambulance on their National Database, ensuring that others in the area are aware of its availability. Our hope is that this small gesture honours Scott’s memory, and prompts us to make this post each year in order to create awareness that motivates others to get a defibrillator installed in their offices and workplaces that can also help make a difference. To find out more about how you can you can help save a life with a defibrillator at your place of work, visit: https://lnkd.in/eRtvhtmp #madigangill #wellbeing #defibrillator #heartdisease #savinglives

A NATIONWIDE EVENT WITH REGIONAL ROUNDS As we come to the end of Women in Construction Week we would like to promote an area that over the years has had more than it’s fair share of male dominance. So to celebrate women in construction we are excited to share with you an exclusive deal for any mixed team with female participants (or all female team even better) entered who will receive a voucher for another team entry, redeemable for friends or colleagues this year or can even be saved for next year's Championship. Well done to Construction Pairs Golf Championship 2025 and its co-founder and our MD for MadiganGill Logistics and Demolition Tony Ball. Karin and Matt discuss the importance to jobseekers about their future career It was really appreciated getting a personal thank you from Karin Smyth, MP for Bristol South for our support and participation at the Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair in Bristol at the end of last week. Building interest in apprenticeships and careers in construction is an important part of the MadiganGill plan for the future and they also feature heavily in our CSR strategy. At the event, MadiganGill Resource was well represented by Matthew Dew, Regional Manager for our Bristol office who was instrumental in helping make the fair the success it was. Karin met up with Matt on the MadiganGill stand and said “I very much enjoyed our discussion of the work that MadiganGill is doing in construction recruitment and the projects your company is working on in Bristol with clients Wates Group and Hill Group UK and appreciate MadiganGill’s work with local academy’s, prisons and job-centres. The Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair is one of the highlights of my year and apprenticeships and employment have been key issues for me throughout my time in Parliament since 2015 and I very much appreciate your contribution to the success of this event - it is very helpful in shaping this annual event.” Matt reported back he was delighted with the response and how engaged those attending were in looking at construction as a career. In Recognition of Our Traffic Marshals At MadiganGill Logistics we are always striving to go above and beyond for our clients and we’re fully committed to setting high standards when delivering our services. We are a business built on trust, honesty and hard work with a true passion to deliver excellence. That’s why, when we receive great feedback, we are always thankful for the recognition. Paul Jeal MCIOB, Project Director St George PLC took time to out to comment on the work being carried out by MadiganGill Logistics onsite at Beaufort Park. “I wanted to take a moment to personally acknowledge the outstanding work being carried out on-site by your team of Traffic Marshals. Under significant pressure, they continue to perform exceptionally well, managing the complexities of road closures, crane operations, and daily deliveries with professionalism and diligence. In addition to these challenges, they also navigate the less pleasant aspect of the role—dealing with frustrated motorists—yet they do so with patience and composure. Their efforts do not go unnoticed, and I want to extend our appreciation for their hard work and dedication”. We would like to thank Paul Jeal for his feedback, as it always means a lot to our team to hear directly from our clients.‼️ We also want to thank Iulian Rotaru, Senior Logistics Manager on site for leading his team of Traffic Marshals at Beaufort Park who’s role on our projects highlights the significant frontline role they play interacting with the Community, Transport, Pedestrians and local Businesses.
