Great week for the Trinity Space Technologies co-founders Adam Orme & Tom Love this week presenting at the 'Careers in Aerospace, Defence & Space' hosted by The Future Business Ltd. 🚀 Adam Orme delivered keynote talks in the morning sessions, helping to dispel common myths surrounding the space industry, whilst Tom Love hosted panel sessions in both afternoons featuring amazing panelists such as Matt Bull, Maleha Khan, Kalyani Verma, Nicola Harrison, Vinayak Narayan and Dave Black. 🇬🇧 All of us at Trinity hope the event has inspired many young individuals from across the UK to take up careers in the space industry and contribute to the incredible future that awaits us. #Trinity #Space #Aerospace #Defence

I had the pleasure of being on a discussion panel “Rocket Scientists Aren’t the Ones Who Build the Rockets!” This was at “Make the Future yours!” live event held by The Future Business Ltd at Farnborough International. A careers event for young people from year 10 upwards. Tom Love from Trinity Space Technologies was the moderator and I was alongside Matt Bull and Maleha Khan both from the UK Space Agency. Our discussion highlighted the need for a diverse range of people in aerospace industries and that work still needs to be done to encourage people from all walks of life. I am new to space and have come from a background of mechanical engineering, yoga and being a mum. All of these skills help me to be a part of the space industry. What an honour to be asked to do a keynote at The Future Business Ltd's recent event - Make the Future Yours! in the Aerospace, Defence and Space industries!! I shared the stage with some actual rocket scientists and presented ideas on the importance of Hard and Soft (essential) skills (obviously including Goal Setting!) in the industry! I had a touch of laryngitis but had so much fun delivering this talk which included some super useful references to Dr Who and the Sonic Screwdriver! Big thanks to Matt Bull for this summation and reflection..... " I was listening to your talk and found it really interesting, I completely agree about "soft" skills being essential - I've been in teams with experts who aren't good leaders and the team didn't perform that well because everybody hated it... the teams I've been in that are by far the most successful are the ones were where individuals feel emotionally secure and supported, and they have the safety to ask questions and be treated with respect.....  it would be really interesting to engage the MARSTA Goals™ theory in some of the programmes that places like the national space centre are developing!" With up to 85% of employers rating the need for these skills so highly, I'd love to contribute to developing team engagement, communication and achievement in your organisation through the innovation that is the MARSTA Goals™ framework!
