Earlier this week, Man Bites Dog’s Claire Mason and Alison Sharpe partnered with Ambition to host an exclusive CMO roundtable to explore how professional services firms can leverage thought leadership to promote their AI-related advisory capabilities to deliver business growth. Drawing on findings from our recent Thought Makers research (link below 👇), Claire and Ally shared insights for Professional Services to capitalise on AI-driven opportunities: 💡 The AI marketing potential is huge: 74% of C-suite leaders see AI and disruptive technologies as a significant growth opportunity for their businesses. 💡 Many firms are still experimenting with AI. This is where professional services can come in, helping clients build the use cases that will deliver real business value. 💡 C-Suite buyers want help navigating the future: 77% of business leaders expect their strategic suppliers to challenge them on emerging trends and issues. 💡 Professional Services need thought-leading content to demonstrate their competence to help clients navigate the unknown, with 74% of business leaders always considering a strategic supplier’s thought leadership when making buying decisions. To stand out in today’s AI-driven world, professional services firms must be “Thought Makers”—the highest form of thought leadership. The Man Bites Dog Weekender is always one of my favourite weekends of the year. It was great to visit the beautiful city of Porto with the Man Bites Dog pack and welcome some of our lovely new team members into the tradition! This year, Porto provided the perfect backdrop for productive workshops, team building and thinking big about our future plans. It may have been raining but that didn’t stop us exploring architecture, history, port wine cellars and, of course, consuming too many pastel de natas! A huge thank you to our Senior Leadership Team for our workshops and to our People and Operations team for organising another fun, productive and inspiring weekend! #teambuilding #workplaceculture #partofthepack #lifeatmanbitesdog

The Man Bites Dog Weekender is a cornerstone of our strategic planning—a dedicated time for our team to step away from the day-to-day and think big about our future, and strengthen our collaboration as a business. This year, the vibrant city of Porto provided the perfect backdrop for productive workshops and team-building activities. These sessions sparked innovative ideas and refined our roadmap for the coming year. We also took time to explore Porto’s rich culture, learning from the city’s history, visiting a port cellar, and visiting the famous Livraria Lello bookstore. A huge thank you to our People and Operations team for organising another fun, productive and inspiring weekend. #teambuilding #workplaceculture #manbitesdog

Earlier this week, Danielle Anderson took at the stage at the Women Powering Smart Energy: Future Leaders in Sustainability event, in partnership with EY, to discuss how business leaders can drive change and foster innovation in sustainability. Read her takeaways and learnings from the event in her post below 👇
🌱 What a fantastic evening at a #WomeninSustainability event last night at the #EY London Bridge office. It was great to be surrounded by such inspiring women. 🌱 Ana Maria Alvarez from Closing the Loop - a company founded with the aim to reduce electronic waste (e-waste) - opened the event with a keynote speech about her experience working for an organisation that is passionate about making real, sustainable change. I was on Panel 1 which discussed what can be done to encourage business leaders to drive change and #innovate. This was followed by Panel 2 which also discussed what can be done to help corporates transform, as well as the pressures of working in sustainability and the role of #women in driving the #transition. Key takeaways include: 🌱 - The role of #storytelling in the transition. Business decisions are linked to emotion and if we are to make change, we have to build a strong narrative that strikes the emotional chord of business leaders to inspire them to champion their own #sustainability story. Man Bites Dog’s recent study found that 81% of business leaders believe that Chief Marketing Officers will be central to successful #netzero transitions. Communicating your sustainability journey is paramount. 📚 - We must empower Chief Sustainability Officers. They should not be seen as only the stewards of compliance, and should instead be central to developing #strategy and given the authority to make real, sustainable change for their business. ✏️ - We must change the conversation around sustainability from a cost to the business, to a #growth opportunity. Investing in sustainability is a smart growth strategy for business. Man Bites Dog’s recent study revealed that 77% of business leaders believe sustainability to be a key #value driver for their business. 💰 - Don’t fall behind the sustainability curve. Sustainability has not yet taken off in the way that it should, but it soon will. And when it does, businesses must be ahead of the curve if they want to be successful. Businesses must go beyond what they are told to do if they want to stay relevant and #competitive. Sustainability is no longer a ‘nice to have’. ⤴️ - Do not underestimate the power of #coaching. Not everyone is fully aware of the value that sustainability brings to a business, and how to deliver it. We must work together - across industries - to embark on a successful transition. 👩🏫 A massive thank you to Kim Paykel - EY UK&I Sustainabilty Leader for Consumer Products & Retail - for moderating both panels. Another big thank you to Steve Gladman - founder at Women Powering Smart Energy and to Michelle T. Davies (née Thomas) - Global Head of Sustainability (EY Law) and Alix Dalton for orchestrating a brilliant event. Yesterday, our Divisional Director, Duncan Sparke spoke at The Financial Services Forum event on the evolving challenges and opportunities of brand investment alongside Lucian Camp, Bhavika Gor - Brand and Marketing Futurist, Paul Martin and Kathryn Lewis. Here are his key takeaways from the session: 💡 Human centricity: Brand connections are much more human, values driven connections and make more intuitive sense than logical, pragmatic buying decisions. To neglect brand is to neglect an important part of your customer. 💡 Balancing brand and performance marketing: While focusing on measurable results is essential, brand investment has a hidden ROI. Strong branding builds trust, enhances reputation, and cuts through the noise, all of which drive revenue growth up and cost per acquisition down. 💡 Branding builds a solid reputation: That reputation develops new relationships with the potential to convert to revenue. A strong branding campaign doesn’t just create external value; it also strengthens internal communication and creates brand advocacy. Thank you to The Financial Services Forum and Mintel for hosting such an insightful event! #B2BMarketing #Brand #ThoughtLeadership

📊 Man Bites Dog’s new research reveals that 74% of C-suite leaders always consider a strategic supplier’s thought leadership when making a buying decision: https://lnkd.in/ewTgv48T Our recent 'Thought Makers' study – based on research amongst C-suite executives at billion-dollar companies in the UK and the US – reveals how B2B buyers engage with content from their suppliers. We discovered that thought-leading B2B content is not just attracting attention and building trust – it’s driving sales. However, in a world of information overload, not just any content will do. Genuine thought leadership has an against-the-grain, “man bites dog” idea at its heart, and is supported by substantial data. It creates a sustainable, long-term platform for you to share your ideas and your propositions. 🌊 Download our report now to find out how to create powerful thought leadership that can influence high-value clients and prospects: https://lnkd.in/ewTgv48T #ThoughtMakers #ThoughtLeadership #CSuiteSales #B2BMarketing #BusinessGrowth
