Providing quality affordable homes for the diverse and vibrant communities of Bradford and Keighley
About us
Manningham Housing Association started in 1986, so have been in existence for over 37 years. Established to meet the housing needs of south Asian families whose needs were not being met in the private sector. Whilst we are predominantly for the South Asian community, we are proud to house people from any heritage. We have 1410 homes majority of which are larger family homes based in the Bradford and Keighley areas. We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing which is a government body to oversee the effective and efficient running of social housing providers. In January 2020 we were graded a G1 for Governance and G1 for Viability which are top grades achievable. The G1 V1 grade was reconfirmed in 2023.

We are proud to donate a consignment of digital equipment to Solidaritech, a Bradford-based community interest company that repurposes old laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones. These devices will be passed on to asylum seekers and refugees, helping them access vital services and opportunities as they begin their new lives in the UK. 🌍 This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to social and environmental sustainability, and we aim to continue supporting this important cause by regularly donating unused equipment to bridge the digital divide in our communities. This initiative highlights our commitment to inclusion, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to thrive in a digital world. read more: https://lnkd.in/e3xBFgcN

Residents at Anchor Court last week had the opportunity to explore the beautiful art of Islamic calligraphy with the renowned artist, Razwan Ul-Haq. Through these enriching sessions, residents not only developed new artistic skills but also learned the history behind Islamic Art, the significance of Kalam pens, and the deep meaning behind the art they painted. We’re thrilled to see their stunning framed artwork now proudly displayed in their homes and our communal room!

World Menopause Day – October 18 🌸 Tomorrow is World Menopause Day – a time to raise awareness about the menopause experience and its impact in the workplace and beyond. While menopause is often associated with women, it’s important to remember that men can also go through a similar life stage, commonly referred to as andropause. Menopause and andropause are natural transitions, but they can bring significant physical and emotional changes. With a large proportion of the workforce affected, it’s vital we foster supportive environments that encourage open conversations, reduce stigma, and provide the necessary resources for those experiencing these changes. 👥 Let’s take this opportunity to: Support employees with flexible working and wellness programs Provide education and raise awareness to remove the stigma Empower everyone to speak openly about their experiences Together, we can build a workplace where everyone feels supported, no matter what stage of life they are in. https://lnkd.in/dRhYPP9 #WorldMentalHealthDay #menopauseawarenessmonth

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️ Let’s talk about the importance of self-checks and knowing the early signs! Detecting breast cancer early can make all the difference. Did you know that breast cancer doesn’t just affect women? Anyone with breast tissue – regardless of gender – can develop breast cancer. That includes men, who account for about 1% of all breast cancer cases in the UK. It’s vital to: Perform regular self-checks Be aware of changes in the shape, size, or feel of your breasts Watch for lumps, thickened areas, or unusual discharge If you notice anything unusual, please contact your GP for advice. We also mark October 19th as International Day Against Breast Cancer – a day to unite against this disease and spread the message of early detection, support, and research. Take care of your health, and let’s continue raising awareness! 💖 #BreastCancerAwareness
