Why is there usually more flexibility in a start up environment? With smaller teams and less bureaucracy, they can adjust work policies quickly, often focusing on outcomes rather than strict hours or rigid structures. In a startup, you’re not just a number, you actually get the chance to wear multiple hats, contribute directly to the company's success, and see the impact of your work firsthand. In October I wanted to be accountable. After giving Emily Stoker a heart-attack for the past few months with all my deals falling into the last week of the month, coming into October I took time to reflect and wanted to see through small changes, how my success could increase. We sat down created a plan and implemented small and simple changes to prevent last minute scramble (although I'm definitely one for the thrill of the last week of the month - or is that just me?🤣) 1. Broke my revenue target down into weekly and daily achievable targets 2. Created a key focus per week, 1 strong job, 1 strong candidate 3. Made sure I replenished with the same urgency as I do in the last week of the month I know these are small things some of you will do already but for me personally after just hitting my 3 year milestone, it made me realise how important it is to still look for areas of improvement and is easy to slip into bad habits! Even with such small changes in place... - I am on track to do my PB🤞🏼 - The team is also on track for a strong October👏🏻 - Emily has been able to get more sleep☺️
