We welcomed TS Royalist to our Queen Anne’s Battery marina in Plymouth today. She is with us for on-site tenants Allspars to carry out extensive works to her rigging over the next few weeks. Here she is in all her glory on night one. A well earned nightcap for all onboard no doubt, after some tight manoeuvres into dock this afternoon. TS Royalist is the Sea Cadets Offshore training flagship, standing in at over 35m in length. Well done to their team on board and our team ashore.

🚨A groundbreaking new study by Dynamic Planet and National Geographic Pristine Seas reveals that the world needs 85 new Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) every day for the next 6 years to reach the global target of conserving 30% of the ocean by 2030 - in national waters alone. Despite country pledges, only 8% of our oceans are currently in some form of protection. The report proposes a scalable, cost-effective pathway to urgently ramp up effective coastal marine protection–where environmental and social benefits are greatest! As world leaders and governments are meeting for the United Nations Biodiversity COP16, these findings are a powerful reality check. Governments must significantly increase their ambitions regarding the speed and scale of effective coastal ocean protection.
