🎉 Fun Kicks off at MAP with Pitch-Perfect Upgrade!🎉 Staff, students and the wider community at Marine Academy Plymouth celebrated the official launch of our brand new 3G football pitch! ⚽️✨ With primary and secondary students showing off their skills, the event was a huge success. Funded by the Ted Wragg Trust, Plymouth City Council, and the Football Foundation, this facility will serve both the school and local community all year round. 🌟 #strengtheningourcommunities

As part of hashtag #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek we are shining a light on our wonderful school therapy dogs and how they support us to transform lives. Our school dogs boost wellbeing and help to create a calm environment which is backed up by research from University of Lincoln which concluded that dog-assisted interventions can reduce stress levels in schools, here at Marine Academy we have a few dogs supporting students. Attached is a picture of Moose, a fox red Labrador who is nearly two years old and very friendly! Moose loves fruit and students making a fuss. If you visit our sixth form department, there is the opportunity to meet Bruno. Bruno has been working with the sixth form team and students to support well-being and positive mental health. Bruno often spends time relaxing with some of our students whilst they study or revise for exams. He has also supported students when they have been feeling under pressure and overwhelmed. Bruno has the fantastic ability to make students smile, even when they are feeling stressed or worried. Bruno likes to meet the students in the study centre in the morning, they are always pleased to see him. We have been working with some students on building confidence and resilience. Bruno likes to accompany students when they are in meetings, bringing his calm nature and reassurance. Bruno really enjoys spending time with our sixth form students.
