We are very pleased to formally announce that Maximum Information has been awarded Innovate UK funding in partnership with the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of Reading and Aon. With our partners, Max Info aims to improve global resilience to cyclone impacts by developing the Hazard Impact Tracker: a software platform that will spearhead new risk-transfer frameworks and enable more effective anticipatory action and post-event response. A huge amount of work and commitment has already gone into this project, and we’d like to thank everyone that’s been a part of it so far, most importantly Tom Philp, Emma Karhan, Rozálie Ryčlová, Giacomo Favaron, Mutahar Chalmers, Liz Stephens, Roman Frigg, Richard Bradley, Kevin Hodges, Sophie Cuckow and the teams at Max Info, LSE, Aon, University of Reading and Innovate UK, the UK's Innovation agency. It has been a whirlwind of 10 weeks at the Lloyd's Lab for everyone at Max Info. The team have worked incredibly hard to release a new version of Magniphi, our platform for catastrophe model evaluation, which is now fully customised for Lloyd's reporting! A special thank you goes to all of our mentors, but especially Lucy Brookes, Catherine Marshall, Elizabeth Harris and the fantastic Valentina Putrino for their support throughout the programme!

Happy to announce that our research collaboration with Mathieu Boudreault has led to a new publication:  "UQAM-TCW: A Global Hybrid Tropical Cyclone Wind Model Based Upon Statistical and Coupled Climate Models". The paper was recently published in the Journal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems (AGU) and describes one of the few global stochastic event sets of tropical cyclones publicly available. https://lnkd.in/e9VzdGMt   Congratulations to the authors, David A Carozza, Mathieu Boudreault, @Manuel Grenier and @Louis-Philippe Caron!
