I had found a flat I wanted to live in. So I bought it... Then I wanted to live in a bigger flat. So I sold it. And I bought a new flat across town. Then I moved cities. So again I sold my flat. Moved the money and investment with me. As you might already realise –  This was the wrong move, every single time. ❌ I kept buying properties I wanted to live in. And this is not the way to build wealth through real estate investing. ✅ If I had kept the first flat, it would be paid off by now with a renter paying into my mortgage and building my equity for me. ✅ I would have qualified for a second mortgage off the back of the equity in the first flat. ✅ If I had bought another rental unit and left it where it was, then I would have two flats paid off and created passive income for me.
