Power Query is possibly the single best feature to appear in Excel in the last 20 years. Power Query makes it easy to import sources from a variety of sources including CSV, text, PDF, the web or even folders on a shared drive. Once imported we can perform transformation steps to prepare the data for analysis. Although there is much more to Power Query, this is its heartbeat. Simple (and more complex) transformations all recorded to be refreshed at the click of a button in the future. If you are looking to import and transform data, merge queries and create robust reports then this live and interactive session with leading trainer Alan Murray is for you. Of the 9 protected characteristics recognised by the Equality Act, gender reassignment is the least well understood and most different from the others. It poses special challenges for employers in the workplace and those undergoing transition have protections and rights that other employees and workers do not enjoy. This live broadcast session is aimed at lawyers and human resources professionals who may need to create policy or advise in this area. The transition process of undergoing gender reassignment will be discussed in detail, along with the protections afforded to transgender staff under the Equality Act 2010, the Gender Recognition Act 2006, and the Data Protection Act. Barrister Robin Moira White will provide insight on how to avoid or deal with litigation related to transgender employees, and will explore proposals and likely changes to transgender legislation, plus much more. Find out why previous attendees commented: ✨"I found the course to be very balanced, and practical considerations very useful" ✨ "Fantastic course - really insightful. Would absolutely recommend Robin as a speaker on the subject to clients." ✨"Very informative on a developing area of law. The speaker was excellent and knowledgeable about the topic." ✨"Excellent presentation - absolutely no suggestions for improvement. Probably the most engaging seminar I've attended!" ✨"Thanks for sharing your story and this valuable information, Robin." We’re one week in to our ‘Walking For Anna’ challenge, and we’ve been blown away by the support we have received so far. We’ve been so passionate about reaching our goal that we’ve already nearly completed half of the total steps set for the challenge. In just 7 days we’ve clocked up a whooping 761,784 steps between us – that’s roughly 380 miles! But there’s still the rest of October to go. We’re not giving up or slowing down. Every step we take is for Anna, to help her to continue to live in her home alongside her family. To read more about Anna and her diagnosis with MND please see the link below. Any donations are greatly received. https://gofund.me/b49addfc Here are some highlights of week 1!

The Court of Protection can make decisions to alter the intestacy rules and put in place a will for a person lacking capacity, known as a statutory will. Delays are caused when the process is not followed correctly, often increasing costs which cannot be recovered on assessment by the SCCO. This live and interactive session presented by Helen Forster, a "wonderfully knowledgeable speaker" who is "very engaging", is aimed at Court of Protection and private client practitioners. It will explain the procedure for making a statutory will and provide you with practical tips on the pitfalls, helping you to ensure your applications are processed smoother and faster going forward. It will also provide an update on the latest case law. All members of RICS across the globe are subject to RICS' Rules of Conduct, the current version of which became effective from 2 February 2022. Surveyors need to ensure that they are familiar with the requirements of the Rules, a breach of which may give rise to disciplinary action. Members of the public are increasingly ready to raise complaints with the RICS. In 2023, RICS received 1981 complaints, and RICS opened formal investigations on 32% of these. This virtual classroom seminar with Alexandra Anderson and Emma Wherry is aimed at surveyors who are subject to RICS regulation, wherever they are located. It will explain in practical terms what the rules say and provide detailed examples of how surveyors can ensure that they are demonstrating the ethical principles of honesty, integrity, competence, service, respect, and responsibility on which the rules are based.
