Celebrating South Asian Heritage Month We were delighted to host Sangeeta Pillai (Soul Sutras), founder of Soul Sutras and host of the multi-award-winning Masala podcast, for an inspiring conversation with Sharon Dhillon, Managing Director of Initiative UK as part of our celebrations for South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM). Sangeeta shared her powerful journey and advocacy for South Asian women, boldly addressing how people can deal with so-called "taboos" within the South Asian community.   Thank you, Sangeeta, for enlightening us with your perspective and for your tireless efforts in empowering women. 🙌 Speed mentoring with Amazon Ads     Something slightly different last week as we welcomed the team from Amazon Ads for a spot of speed mentoring with our London-based teams.   We kept it simple with no set agenda but a unique opportunity to talk to seasoned industry professionals about anything from industry trends and career paths to how to advance their professional development.   The photos below are from the briefing session before we got stuck in and the feedback from both our team and Amazon Ads was fantastic. Louise will oversee all digital activity for UM clients, with a specific focus on helping brands to navigate the interconnection of data, AI and enhanced media performance in close conjunction with KINESSO UK&I , our tech-driven performance agency. Celebrating the 76th anniversary of Windrush Day at IPG Mediabrands We're taking a look back at the programme of events from our Open Heritage Network to celebrate the historic and ongoing contributions to the UK by the Windrush generation. Last month we saw: A presentation by artist Jim Grover, whose photo stories captured the essence of the Windrush generation. Exhibited in major solo shows since 2016, his work, like "Windrush: Portrait of a Generation," offers a powerful testament to their contribution. A Caribbean food and punch meet-up, providing immersion into Windrush culture. This community gathering honored their rich heritage while fostering connection and reflection on their enduring impact. A dedicated Windrush Day page on our intranet and facts shared throughout our offices to learn more and to stay informed about ways to celebrate nationwide. 🏳🌈 Pride at IPG Mediabrands Pride at Mediabrands is halfway done! Last week we celebrated Pride in London by asking our people to showcase the talents they’re proud of in our Open Pride Network Variety Show hosted by our resident queen, Thea Statique. We had some hilarious stand-up, excellent vocals, and a show stopping Lion King performance from Trevor Miranda, Kamilla King, Kunal Patel and Jack Brown, followed by some outstanding karaoke.
