GE HealthCare has unveiled a new generative AI (genAI) platform, CareIntellect for Oncology, which will be available for commercial use in the US next year for prostate and breast cancer use. “Currently only 3% of hospital data is used because of the complexities associated with organising and extracting useful healthcare insights at scale. A study carried out by Oxford, UK-based cardiac health firm Caristo Diagnostics has found that the company’s prediction and diagnostic system could reduce cardiac deaths by 12% across the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Keith Channon, co-author of the study and chief medical officer of Caristo, said: “The CaRi-Heart care pathway could transform cardiac care in the UK and around the world.
