Last weekend, Melody Care hosted a spectacular Fun Day event that brought together over 100 of our dedicated staff, carers, and their families for an unforgettable day of joy and community spirit. With the sun shining brightly, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, setting the stage for a series of exciting activities and heartwarming moments that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. One of the highlights of the day was the handmade pizza station, crafting delicious pizzas to their liking. The aroma of freshly baked pizzas wafting through the air was simply irresistible. Meanwhile, the Kids Zone was a hive of activity, featuring face painting and nail polishing, which kept the little ones entertained and beaming with colorful smiles. The bouncy castles and inflatable obstacle course were a hit, providing endless fun and laughter for children and adults alike. A special attraction of the event was the petting zoo, which even drew the attention of the local mayor, who spent a considerable amount of time mingling with the animals and the attendees. The tea and cake stand offered a delightful array of treats, perfect for a relaxing break amidst the festivities. Adding to the excitement, our charity raffle drew enthusiastic participation and contributed to our fundraising efforts, raising over £550 for charity. The success of Melody Care’s Fun Day was not just in the activities or the funds raised, but in the sense of community it fostered. We are immensely grateful to everyone who attended and made the day special. The event truly exemplified the spirit of Melody Care, celebrating our commitment to care and community, and we look forward to many more such events in the future.

This Monday was Brew Monday - A national day recognising the need to talk for tackling mental health issues. We care about mental health which is why we have our own programme and dedicated colleague available for all of our team.
