The Classic+ series of rotary lobe pumps from Viking Pump® Hygienic has been a trusted workhorse in the UK food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries for decades. Originally produced by WrightFlow Technologies, these pumps are renowned for their quality, reliability, and durability—so much so that units supplied nearly 20 years ago are still in operation today! Take this CP20 model, recently sent to Michael Smith Engineers’ approved service centre by a leading UK food production company. After years of hard work, it showed clear signs of wear—proof that even the highest-quality components eventually need attention. But thanks to the ongoing support for the Classic+ series, our manufacturer-trained workshop engineers fully serviced and refurbished it, restoring it to a ‘good as new’ condition. If you use Viking Pump Hygienic, WrightFlow Technologies, or Wright Pump systems and need expert servicing, our authorised service centre is here to help. The European directive ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) sets standards for equipment and protective systems used in potentially explosive environments. ATEX compliance is mandatory for all equipment and protective systems intended for use in these potentially explosive areas. The goal is to make sure equipment is designed and made to this high standard of both safety and reliability. When you are dealing with corrosive chemicals, safety is the top concern. That’s one reason why FTI Air’s stainless steel pumps are designed to meet ATEX compliance standards and are ATEX certified. The production of green hydrogen is a rapidly growing sector, and Michael Smith Engineers has been at the forefront from the very beginning. With our extensive experience, we offer a range of high-performance pumps tailored to meet the unique challenges of hydrogen production. One key application is the circulation of deionised water at high pressure—a task perfectly suited to the Hydra-Cell G04 seal-less diaphragm pump from Wanner International Ltd. Powered by a 3 kW, 4-pole motor, this pump delivers a reliable flow of approximately 8 LPM at discharge pressures of up to 100 bar. The G04 can be offered to cover flow rates up to 11.2 LPM against discharge pressures up to 172 bar. If you're involved in green hydrogen production and want to make use of our expertise, we'd love to hear from you. Here we have another pair of magnetic-drive gear pumps destined for transfer of corrosive chemicals. Both are Poly-Guard Series PFA-lined external gear pumps from Liquiflo. The main performance difference between the two pumps is the flow rate. The P3 model, on the right, close coupled an ATEX rated 0.55 kW, 4 pole motor will give a flow rate of approximately 12 lpm. The larger P6 model, close coupled to an ATEX rated 1.1 kW 4 pole motor can deliver up to 43 lpm. The pumps have non-metallic wetted components, which makes them ideal for high-purity liquid handling. We can offer a wide selection of pumps for chemical transfer, circulation and metering applications. See our website for more information: https://lnkd.in/egUVmHnt #pumpsolutions #chemicalpumps

While we’re well known for our pump solutions in ‘messy’ applications, we also offer ranges of hygienic pumps designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries. One example is this LE130 hygienic centrifugal pump from SAWA Pumpentechnik AG. Built from medical-grade 1.4435 stainless steel with electropolished wetted parts and DIN 11851 connections; this pump offers excellent chemical resistance, easy maintenance, and the highest level of hygienic standards. Inside the motor shroud, you’ll find a 1.1 kW, 2-pole motor, covering a flow rate of 3.4 m³/hr against a discharge head of approximately 15 m. This unit will be used to recirculate CIP fluid at an operating temperature of 60-65ºC for a pharmaceutical application. Looking for a reliable hygienic pump solution? 💛 A golden bond for life 💛 The "wedding" in automotive engineering, where the chassis and powertrain are precisely joined together, has its counterpart in the pump industry when assembling pump units, motor and base frame. Precise levelling is crucial here in order to avoid vibrations and wear. Similar to the "marriage" in car manufacturing, a mechanical unit is created here. Both processes require maximum precision and control to ensure functionality and longevity. #Wedding #PumpIndustry #Dickow
