About Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Midlands Air Ambulance is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars serving the communities of six Midlands counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK. Since our first mission in 1991, we have responded to more than 72,000 incidents as one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance operators in the UK, airlifting up to 12 people every day, 365 days a year. We do not receive any funding from the Government or NHS for our daily missions, we rely on generous support from the public and local businesses to raise the £1 3-14 million needed to remain operational. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is an independent charity and healthcare provider that is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The aim of the CQC is to ensure patients can expect to receive the essential standards of quality while being treated by our team in the pre-hospital environment.

  • 🌟 Weekly Round-Up 🌟 It's been a busy week around our communities! 🎸 The Pod was a massive hit at the Drunken Monkey Rock Festival in Welland near Malvern, where they’ve been fundraising for us for 8 years. A big thank you to our amazing volunteers Ann and Greg for their support! 👏 Huge thanks to Roy & Julian from Millington Engineering, Midland Oil Engine Club & Tony Maiklem for raising an incredible £1,680! 🎉 A big shoutout to Barry at the Flybridge Restaurant in Defford, Worcestershire, who hosts a monthly quiz for us. We’re thrilled to have received a cheque for £245 from his latest fundraising efforts. 🚗 As the Charity of Choice for Classic Nostalgia at Shelsley Walsh, we not only had the thrill of doing the famous Hill Climb in our critical paramedic car but also raised a fantastic £1,420! This total includes £292 from a recent Bike Bonanza event. We’re excited to be their charity of choice again next year—mark your calendars for 2025: Bike Bonanza on 5th July and Classic Nostalgia on 19th/20th July. 🌳 Thanks to Jeff and Sally who represented us at the Sandon Village Fete over the weekend. 🙌 A special thank you to volunteers Julie and Paul for their help at the Prescott Hill Climb on Sunday, and to Julie and Graham for their support on Saturday. 💛A big thank you to Jayne from Home Instead Memory Café, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, for inviting us to their meeting to share more about our charity and for their generous donations. 🙏We also had the pleasure of welcoming Margaret and the Christchurch Fellowship group from Tettenhall to ABHQ. Their continued support over the years, including raising £466.00 from previous bring-and-buy sales and donating over £200 during this visit, is deeply appreciated. ☕️ We had an incredible time attending the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations at Piccadilly Banqueting Suite, Birmingham. Thank you, Ebrahim Suleman, for inviting us to join in the festivities with our pod and merchandise. We even got to try Asian tea for the first time! 🎶 A huge shoutout to Andrea and the team from Aldridge Ukulele Band, who recently donated £1000 in collaboration with Aldridge Rotary Club. They treated us to a mini concert during their visit to ABHQ, and we’re excited to have them join us at future events! 🎉Finally, thank you to everyone who attended the recent music festival at the Chindit Inn in Wolverhampton. We’re thrilled to report that over £300 was raised on the day from raffles and sales of handmade items. Special thanks to Ken for the introduction. #FundraisingHeroes #CommunitySupport #ThankYou #MidlandsAirAmbulanceCharity
