The Military Coworking Network (MCN) is thrilled to announce a huge step forward in its mission to support military partners and spouses. Following a successful evaluation of the pilot project, the MCN - through partners the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) - has secured substantial funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund (AFCTF). This grant marks a turning point for the MCN, enabling us to transition from a pilot phase to a permanent and expanding fixture within the military community. NEW STYLE VIRTUAL COWORKING PROVES A SUCCESS Our first new-style virtual coworking session, that successfully combines timed and structured coworking with opportunities to network and socialise with your fellow coworkers, took place yesterday, and was a great success. In fact, everyone who participated said they'd loved it - the feedback was amazing and encouraging in equal measure. MCN is tackling loneliness and isolation with two new product launches Here at the MCN, we know that one of the key issues faced by military spouses and partners is loneliness and isolation. Our coworking hubs have been critical in addressing this issue, but with just eight coworking hubs currently in operation (we're still in project mode with a final evaluation in March 2026) and one more to launch at RAF Marham this month, not all our members have access to these amazing facilities. So, we're launching two new products that have have been designed to tackle these issues head on, just virtually. https://lnkd.in/eNPTkrYG... From 24 September onwards, we will be running weekly virtual coworking sessions that are designed to drive accountability, boost productivity, and promote socialising and networking. These sessions will run every Tuesday, from 09:30 to 12:00. From 25 September onwards, we will also be running weekly virtual Water Cooler Chats, an opportunity to come together with other members from across the MCN community for a virtual cuppa, a friendly chat with people who get you and the impact of military life. Just half an hour long, starting at 10:30 every Wednesday, they are perfectly timed for a bit of quality time away from your desk or home commitments.
