What a week it’s been at the global shareholder conference in Marrakech. From meeting the absolutely brilliant visionary - Kirsty Leighton - for the first time (14 years in the making and we even started a company together), the invigorating energy of the various team interactions to the inspiring ideas exchanged, to the personal conversations to the thrill of racing across the Agafay Dessert… its been a highly condensed week of high energy and emotions. I’m leaving this experience with a renewed sense of optimism and excitement about the future of Milk & Honey PR. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what we do… our deep commitment to growth, collaboration, bravery and a will to win that fuel our every step forward. The passion, insights, and shared belief in pushing boundaries - it was all very palpable. I’m deeply touched by the sense of unity and drive that were evident in every session and interaction this week. This trip where all the Partners and most of the Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) got together has been an important milestone… one that reminds us that our success is not just about numbers or strategy, but about the people, our purpose, the impact that we each make and the possibilities ahead. Here are my five key takeaways from an unforgettable week: 1. Collaboration drives innovation: When we come together as ONE, our ideas don’t just add up - they multiply to the power of infinity. The power of shared thinking is limitless. 2. Growth mindset is everything: Every challenge is an opportunity. The only way to fail is to stop being curious and trying… and that’s certainly NOT who we are. 3. Purpose-driven work has real impact: It’s not just about profit, it’s about making a difference. Our values continue to guide us toward meaningful, lasting change. 4. Global strength through local excellence: Our teams across continents are thriving because they embrace the nuances of their markets while staying connected to our core. 5. The future is ours to shape: The road ahead is filled with opportunities, and together, we have the determination, passion, and resilience to seize them. I’m leaving my fabulous colleagues and Marrakech with a full heart, lots of ideas and a fierce determination. Let’s do this! A special THANK YOU to Petrina Marks for making this offsite run so seamlessly! We couldn’t have done it without you! With 64% of PR professionals being women, Menopause Awareness Month ️should be BIG news ❤️. As an industry we have a responsibility to make our workplaces Menopause aware. Menopause isn’t just about physical discomfort like hot flushes and night sweats (though these are big things too!). Side effects such as mood swings, anxiety and brain fog can have severe impacts on mental health and wellbeing. Did you know that around a third of women are currently menopausal or perimenopausal? It’s time to step up... 💡 Educate 🗣 Communicate 🤝 Support As a people first agency, Milk & Honey PR is committed to the Menopause Workplace Pledge. We actively recognise that women need specific support and a safe space to talk openly about the Menopause. Join us and sign the pledge today: https://ow.ly/F2S450TOatG #MenopauseAwareness #Team #Support

If intelligence was collaborative and collective, what would the world of AI look like? How would privacy be protected? What kind of technologies could support such a vision? These are the kind of questions our client, Karen Kim of Human Managed, has been working on, leading them towards the emerging technology of Federated Learning. Realising that the concept was not well known, particularly in the ASEAN region, they decided to develop and share a white paper on the topic with the wider industry - “Better Intelligence is Collective - Unlocking the Potential of AI with Federated Learning”. This white paper is indeed a labour of love with our client where we researched and curated the content. Ayesha Kohli Meilin Wong 📰: https://lnkd.in/ggezjR8r #FederatedLearning #CollaborativeIntelligence #AI #StrategicCommunications #ThoughtLeadership #WhitePaper #Singapore #SoutheastAsia
📖It's Release Day!!!📖 Super excited to announce the release of Human Managed's first white paper, "Better Intelligence is Collective: Unlocking the Potential of AI with Federated Learning". Why write a white paper at all? With all the excitement around AI and its capabilities, we didn't see much conversation around the 'I' in AI. What is intelligence in the age of AI? What kind of intelligence should we strive for, particularly in a business context? How can we use AI to generate better intelligence -- not just a few times, but consistently? HM's quest to build better intelligence led us to the groundbreaking solution of federated learning (FL) and privacy preservation techniques that allow models to be trained across decentralized devices while keeping the data localized and secure. So organically, FL became a part of our platform roadmap to improve our model outputs and distributed data flows. However, given the nascency of this topic and the lack of understanding around FL in the ASEAN region, we decided to embark on a collaborative research project that would further knowledge beyond technologists. We had never attempted such an initiative before, and we weren't sure how it would go... The spirit of 'collective intelligence' from our ecosystem of partners has been absolutely amazing and has enabled us to produce a comprehensive, informative and balanced white paper that we are very proud of. A huge thank you to: Aloysius Kin Faa Chong from PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia), Shobhit Garg from Microsoft, and Rishu Saxena from Snowflake for your invaluable insights on the topic of FL, Ayesha Kohli for your top notch research and knowledge curation, and Henri Villegas for making the white paper so beautiful! Our findings show that technologies for scaling FL in the near future are developing rapidly, and their application potential in ASEAN is strong. The key issue of FL adoption is not a technological one but rather one of incentives and stewardship. Better intelligence is the result of real-time, cross-collaborative exchange and sharing among multiple parties. We all have a part to play in it. 📖 You can download the white paper from the link in the comment section below. We are excited to hear your feedback and are open to ideas to further our mission of collective intelligence. Saleem Javed Mohamed Ismail Roshanara B. Today, as we observe World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that mental health is an ongoing effort. At Milk & Honey PR, we are committed to creating a supportive workplace, where we recognise that the health and wellbeing of our people are always our priority. Our core values, especially respect and collaboration, provide us the critical guidance to foster an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, no matter the challenges they face. The support we provide to nurture mental health can take many forms. Yet, they all begin with a kind, collaborative and caring culture: 💟 Listen without judgement: easier said than done but nonetheless, so important. We advocate for creating space for colleagues to share without feeling rushed, dismissed or belittled. Sometimes, the best way to help is just to shut up and listen because being heard can make a world of difference. 💟 Respect boundaries: show understanding when a teammate needs space. We all recharge in different ways, so respecting that fosters a healthier workplace. 💟 Celebrate efforts, not just results: sometimes, acknowledging the hard work your teammates put in, even if things didn’t go perfectly, can boost morale and motivation. It’s encouraging to know that efforts are valued. 💟 Promote flexibility: we continue to practice flexible work arrangements for all our team members – whether it’s flexible hours, a compressed work week or remote days. With over 30% of our teams being caregivers, this flexibility gives them the chance to manage personal commitments or simply decompress when needed. 💟 Offer support proactively: instead of waiting for someone to ask, proactively lending a hand when we see a colleague struggling can mean so much for the recipient. Small gestures show we’re in this together. Even a simple yet sincere, “How’s everything going?” can create a sense of connection. 💟 Normalise mental health days: we actively encourage the use of 'mental health days' as part of regular sick leave. This not only reduces stigma but also shows the team that their wellbeing is a priority. By incorporating these practices, we can create an environment that not only supports mental wellbeing but actively nurtures it, building a workplace where people feel valued, supported and empowered. 💛 #WorldMentalHealthDay #WorkplaceWellbeing #WeCare #Respect #Collaboration
