Sometimes you need a guide to help you navigate the maze. With the right guide, it may make some of the hidden dangers, and pitfalls a little bit clearer to see. The City & Guilds (6160-06) Level 4 Award in Plan, Manage and Review Legislative and Safety Compliance for Work in Confined Spaces, is exactly that. A look into some of complexities of understanding how to keep your people safe and understand how to stay compliant when working in these high hazard environments. This is a comprehensive 5 days of class room based learning and quite a bit of time out-with the classroom for learners to build a portfolio of evidence. There can be a lot to consider when building a safe system of work for confined spaces and this course is designed for people holding a recognised health & safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH general certificate or C&G L6 in Occupational Health and Safety and apply that general health and safety knowledge and expand it into the specifics of confined spaces. Out and about in South Wales. Over the past three weeks, our Operations Manager, Gerwyn James, attended two fantastic events in Porthcawl and Maesteg, organised by Bridgend, Neath & Port Talbot Chamber of Commerce. These events provided a great opportunity to connect with local businesses and industry professionals, showcasing how MRS Training & Rescue supports workplace safety with expert training and rescue services. A huge thanks to the organisers for hosting such valuable events! #WorkplaceSafety #ConfinedSpaceTraining #SouthWales

Celebrating International Women’s Day at MRS Training & Rescue From our roots in mining back in 1902 - once a male-dominated industry - to where we stand today, MRS Training & Rescue continues to break barriers. This year, we’re especially proud to celebrate a historic moment: our first-ever all-female industrial rescue team providing standby rescue cover for a customer in Scotland. A true testament to how far we’ve come and the incredible skills, dedication, and expertise of the women in our industry. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInRescue #IWD2025
