    Job searching is NOT a numbers game. I spoke to a job seeker who has applied to 1,000 jobs in the last year 🤯 Guess how many callbacks? 5. Final stage interviews? 0. That’s a 0.5% conversion rate just from application > callback. Think of all of the hours wasted. As a graduate job seeker I barely got a call back. So I switched my approach. - I used rejection to learn & improve. - I started networking strategically. - I focussed on quality > quantity. That led to multiple job offers from my dream companies. 4 lessons I gained: 1. Rejection doesn’t define you. -> Never let someone else’s opinion of you determine your self worth. 2. Learn from failure and adapt. -> Use every bit of feedback & insight to improve. Doing the same thing won’t work. 3. It’s a people game. -> Behind every job application are real people. Find them and become visible. 4. Your qualifications alone mean nothing. -> Your degree does not guarantee you a job. Learn how to sell yourself. People are landing their dream jobs every day because they don't give up. They learn how to take the emotion out of the rejection. They have an ability to bounce back and learn from past mistakes. And they focus on quality > quantity. PS. People may not say it but everyone gets rejected. It’s a normal part of the process. ♻️ repost to inspire other job seekers.
