Since opening, we’ve partnered with TERN - The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network to offer bursaries to food entrepreneurs within their community. This initiative provides significantly reduced membership to entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds for 8 months, helping them grow their businesses. Our latest bursary recipient, Hind, founder of UTOPIA, recently led our monthly Family Meal in the kitchen. Her culinary creations, inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, have been a hit! Even more exciting news — Hind has just secured a permanent location at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle📍. Exciting news—I’ve officially moved back to London after a wonderful time living by the sea in Brighton. While I’ll always have a love for the coast, the increasing commute time (and cost!) made me realise how much more I could be doing with my time. Now, I can focus on activities that truly matter to me, like supporting friends and getting involved in exciting projects! This weekend, I was thrilled to support my friend Keziah, founder of Araw and a member Mission Kitchen in her latest collaboration—a girls-only run club with Gymshark! We completed a 5K around Regent’s Park, finishing off with some of Keziah’s delicious ice cream at the Gymshark store. I picked the Matcha with black sesame praline... delicious! It couldn’t have been better ways to celebrate Koppert Cress collaboration with James Dew from #harwoodsoflondon, who make sure of full availability and procurement of our microgreens and specialty plants in London on a daily basis. To do so, we hold a Culinary and networking event at Mission kitchen , food exchange in New Covent Garden Market. The idea was to inspire london’s chefs to use Koppert Cress microgreens and specialty plants in their culinary creation. A lunch was created by Koppert Cress own chefs to showcase the company range and tastes was bookended by a hands-on world of plant workshop, in which we talked about and demonstrated the potential of premium microgreens and their role in changing and shaping modern cuisine. Thank you to all chefs and delegates who join us , including Tommy Leighton for his help and ongoing support, Rose Wilk-Mullis from Mission Kitchen, Yana Steudel Ph. D. for sending us those delicious and amazing pearls, Jason Morrison and Riso Gallo S.p.A. for the supply of our premiun Risotto rice.
