We are delighted to have won two categories at the LABC regional awards. Which include Best Small New Housing Development with our Camden Row project and individual winner Jake receiving the Construction Specialist of the Year award. On site with our Architecture Planning & Place Committee advisors this week. Undertaking a post build assessment of the completed Scala development in Oldfield Park, Bath. Amendments to the scheme reflect concerns about excessive height in the local townscape and impact on the conservation area, and loss of community facility. The heights were dropped and a community studio retained. The building is heated by air source heat pumps and powered solar PV. The use of the site for student housing rather than affordable housing to meet local need is regrettable, though freeing up family homes in the area is a possible knock on impact.
