🌟 Insights from Yann LeCun on AI and Intelligence 🌟 Alex Monaghan's recent article discusses Yann LeCun's views on artificial intelligence. LeCun states that current AI applications lack the adaptability and motivation found in animals. While AI can process large amounts of data, it struggles with genuine learning and motivation. Exploring animal intelligence could be a useful direction for future AI development. The article also addresses the importance of belief systems and self-reflection, which are aspects of human thought that AI does not possess. As AI technology evolves, it is important to focus on creating systems that capture the depth of human cognition. 👉 Read the full article here https://lnkd.in/dv6Rff4s 👉 Follow Alex at AI, CX, and the Pursuit of Happiness https://lnkd.in/dzvWUBDD #ArtificialIntelligence #CognitiveScience #YannLeCun #MachineLearning

In his latest newsletter, Richard Foster-Fletcher 🌎 explores the critical risks posed by AI models increasingly relying on their own outputs for training. His thought-provoking analysis reveals the concerning trend of "model collapse"—where AI systems risk becoming disconnected from reality. With AI-generated content proliferating, this challenge is no longer theoretical; it is happening now. Richard highlights the urgent need to preserve data integrity and ensure AI models are trained on high-quality, human-generated inputs. For businesses utilising AI, this serves as a crucial reminder to invest in rigorous data governance and robust training practices to prevent flawed, biased, and unreliable outputs. 📖 Read the full article for a deeper insight into AI’s self-cannibalisation, and let’s start a conversation about how we can build resilient, future-proof AI systems. https://lnkd.in/dA-zphSM #AI #AIEthics #ArtificialIntelligence #ModelCollapse #DataGovernance #TechInnovation

Richard Foster-Fletcher 🌎's reflection on AI’s evolving role in game design is both thought-provoking and timely. Whilst AI’s ability to autonomously generate game environments introduces exciting possibilities for creativity and innovation, it also raises important questions about the future of traditional coding careers and the value of human input. Rather than simply championing AI, we should consider both its potential and the challenges it presents. Richard’s article makes an essential point: should we be cautious about encouraging young people to pursue fields that may soon be dominated by AI? Instead of discouraging future generations, we ought to equip them with a balanced skill set that includes AI knowledge, critical thinking, and ethical awareness. This will allow them to harness AI’s creative potential whilst navigating its broader societal and ethical implications—such as authorship, intellectual property, and the displacement of traditional roles. By fostering a more nuanced understanding of AI’s capabilities and limitations, we can ensure young people remain integral to shaping a technology-driven future, rather than being overshadowed by it. 🤖💡 Read Richard's full article here: https://lnkd.in/gt4hfXYZ #AIethics #AIinGaming #FutureOfWork #InnovationAndEthics #ResponsibleTech #AIandCreativity #DigitalFuture Stay connected with Richard LinkedIn: https://lnkd.in/ghD6cPgQ X/Twitter: https://lnkd.in/gGPXzZq7
