On Saturday 8th March, GO Outdoors LTD opened their new store in Basingstoke, featuring a dedicated Montane Shop-in-Shop. Even with the beautiful weather, the opening drew huge crowds, with queues stretching out of sight down the road! Inside, the store was buzzing with energy. It was great to chat to many enthusiastic Montane customers, as well as introducing new faces to the brand. Great work to everyone involved 🙌

Montane athlete, Tom Hollins, sets fastest known time for self-supported Wainwright round!!! Can you imagine climbing the height of Everest four times in just eight days, completely self-supported? For most adventurers, completing the Wainwrights Challenge - 214 peaks across the Lake District - is a lifelong goal, often tackled over years. But Team Montane Tom Hollins didn't just complete it; he shattered records, finishing in an incredible 8 days, 9 hours, and 44 minutes. That's over 500km of rugged terrain and more than 36,000m of elevation gain, all while braving the harsh conditions of winter. Not only did Tom set a new self-supported winter Wainwrights record, but he also broke the summer self-supported Wainwrights record - a feat never achieved before. A true testament to endurance, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of adventure. Well done Tom 👏

Monthly recap: February 🏔️ As February draws to a close and we look forward to longer, brighter days, we're reflecting on a month that was anything but gloomy. This month two of our most extreme sponsored races took place, the Yukon Arctic Ultra and the Arctic Spine Race. Notably, the Arctic Spine Race saw its first-ever finishers this year, with 5 athletes, including #TeamMontane Jon Shield crossing the finish line. In the spirit of February's reputation as the month of love, we created helpful guides for caring for your Montane gear. We also demonstrated our commitment to the environment by organising litter picks at our Northumberland headquarters.
