Disability pay gap reporting is important for any business that is serious about fairness and inclusion. We encourage others to get involved in this consultation.
Disability and ethnicity pay gap reporting is important for any business that is serious about fairness and inclusion. I am pleased to support the Office for Equality and Opportunity minister for equalities Seema Malhotra FRSA in launching the consultation on making such reporting mandatory for large businesses in the video we worked on together. For Mott MacDonald, publishing our disability and ethnicity pay gap data, alongside our gender pay gap data, is a commitment to action and enables us to demonstrate progress, as well as giving our people a chance to hold us to account. By delivering on these actions, we will become a more diverse business and, as we continue to do this, we will become more successful in meeting the needs of our clients and the communities they serve. I urge both employers and individuals to get involved in the 12-week consultation: https://lnkd.in/gVuAv-_H

We sent some of our early career professionals along to our Aotearoa Carbon Crunch event in Auckland to ask attendees for their thoughts on the biggest challenge facing the infrastructure industry as we aim to decarbonise. Some of the key insights were: 🌳We have the technology to decarbonise, we just have to act. 🌳The value versus cost argument continues to be a pain point for organisations. 🌳The energy transition will play a huge role. The challenge of designing a world class stadium fit for a Taylor Swift concert and a Premier League football match, is one that technical director, Wojciech Markowski, discusses in his article for Construction Management magazine. Incorporating the differing needs of sports and music fans needs to be considered in the design and operation of stadia. Years of practice in design, construction and operation of buildings and continuous research have helped designers better understand the dynamic behaviour of building structures. This has led to development of new tools and methods of analysis to assess structural vibrations which enables engineers to achieve lighter and more efficient designs. Read more about the work we are doing with the wider construction industry in response to the challenge. ⬇️ https://mottm.ac/4ishWiJ
