A new survey conducted by Zoom in collaboration with Reworked INSIGHTS claims that hybrid work has become the preferred working model worldwide, with a significant impact on productivity, employee satisfaction, and workplace connectivity. The survey sets out to explore the evolving nature of work, focusing on global trends in workplace flexibility, employee preferences, and the growing role of generative AI. The findings suggest that hybrid work is now the dominant approach, with 83 percent of employees reporting higher productivity in hybrid or remote environments compared to traditional in-office settings. Furthermore, 82 percent of hybrid workers feel more connected to their teams and managers, challenging the notion that face-to-face interaction is essential for strong workplace relationships.https://rpb.li/afku

What do you think of the UK's New Deal for Working People? According to data, only 40% of UK workers believe it will have a positive impact on their work lives and 44% think it will have no impact. The recently introduced Employment Rights bill has been met with ambivalence and a significant lack of awareness about current workplace rights according to insight https://rpb.li/YwC

While the shift to remote work has reportedly brought about numerous benefits for many people, such as increased flexibility and autonomy, a new study published in SAGE Open by researchers from the University of Nottingham claims to reveal significant downsides that are often overlooked. The study focuses on the psychological impact of remote work, specifically how the fear of missing out (FOMO) and information overload can severely affect employees’ mental health and overall wellbeing https://rpb.li/IhQoq

Our third article in our #ChangeSeries takes a look at effectively communicating change in the workplace. All change - whether that's changes to company culture, new technologies, altering the structure or size of the business or changing any major initiatives - has one thing in common: people. People are at the heart of all organisations; by acknowledging how their behaviours are impacted by change (and how their behaviours impact the implementation of change) is key to a successful change project. Communicating to them in the right way at the right time is crucial. Our second article in our #ChangeSeries looks at a challenge commonly experienced by organisations going through change: resistance. We have all heard the adage that change is constant. For some this is exciting. For others, it’s unwanted. The problem is, if there is any resistance, it can derail a change implementation programme. How can organisations overcome resistance to change? In this article, we define what ‘resistance’ is, understand how common it is for organisations to face change resistance, why it typically occurs and how to overcome it. Read it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e6ikHgEf and let us know in the comments below 👇 what you think. Have you come across resistance? How do you manage change in the workplace? In this article, we consider how to effectively communicate change. To do this, we must first understand what workplace change is. Workplace change occurs when a business changes key components of its strategy or operations. This can be anything from changes to company culture, the technologies employees use to undertake their work, altering the structure or size of the business, or changing any major initiatives, activities and goals that will affect the workforce. All of this has one thing in common: people. People are at the heart of all organisations – without them there wouldn’t be one. It’s therefore important that when change occurs, it is managed carefully and with thought to the people who will be impacted https://rpb.li/Ndhy3

Leadership and management are both contested terms, but their status demonstrates how the concepts are travelling in opposite directions. This article explores why we distrust management, admire leadership, and how our communication methods may be stifling the very qualities we need most in today’s organisations https://rpb.li/HdhBZ
