Movianto is continuously expanding their cold chain storage capacities in Belgium. The most recent example is a new walk-in freezer, which will go in this month. It offers space for storing goods on 350 pallets at -20°C. The deep-freeze hall with its 160 m² of floor space and a usable height of around 10.5 metres. Read more: https://bit.ly/4cVW7oU

Following the footsteps of Movianto Netherlands in Oss, Movianto Spain is proud to unveil its second cutting-edge walk-in warehouse with a temperature of minus 40°C. This 52m² area with a space for 51 pallets in Numancia de la Sagra is designed to meet the unique needs of clinical research and blood plasma storing. 💡 Navigating the technical challenges of this type of storage has presented us with an opportunity to explore new approaches and methods to protect such sensitive products: 🛠️ ️ Manual precision in extreme cold: When conventional scanners fail at -40°C, our manual pick lists deliver the necessary accuracy and reliability. 🌀 Ventilated flooring for durability: Traditional floors crack under extreme cold, so we’ve implemented ventilated floors to prevent damage. 🌿 Energy-efficient cooling: Adopting a multi-layer system, our design minimizes cooling energy use, cutting costs and boosting efficiency, with 2,500 solar modules providing sustainable power. "We are very proud that we can cover the entire range of temperatures used by pharma clients in Numancia and that we have found a way to operate this in the most climate- and cost-friendly way possible using the principle of multi-layered setup," says jose luis hurtado fullea, Managing Director at Movianto Spain. David, who has held the position of CEO of TransPharma until now, will succeed Paul Wilkinson, who is moving on to pursue new opportunities.
