🚀 Project Update! 🚀 Last summer we completed the installation of a large modular cabin project at a prestigious university in the Midlands. Here's a breakdown of the work we undertook: 🔵 Concrete Pad Excavations: Carried out extensive groundworks, including excavating and preparing the site for the modular cabin’s foundation with large pad foundations. 🟢 New Rising Main/Foul Water Pump System: We installed a new foul water pump, ensuring effective wastewater management for long-term functionality of the space. 🔵 Power & Water connections: We undertook the excavation and installation of all necessary infrastructure and ductwork for new power and water connections to the cabins. 🟢 Rainwater Harvesting Tank: Installation of a rainwater harvesting system to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact of the cabins. 🔵 External Cladding & Skirting: We also installed black cladding to the units to improve the overall aesthetic and increase the subtlety of the cabins. 🟢 Internal electrics: We were tasked with the install of the internal electrics, which consisted of multiple classrooms, labs, server rooms and a kitchen and canteen. Look at the finish on that! An absolutely lovely concrete wing walled ramp completed last month in Birmingham by the team! This job consisted of breaking out part of an existing concrete slab and forming a new wing wall ramp to connect an existing yard to a new one. The scope also included altering the existing palisade to accommodate the ramp, and installation of new rota top fencing to provide extra security. A big effort put in by the MSE team on this for one of the UK's Aerospace giants! Starting with demolition of an existing structure and trenching for new services & drainage. This was followed by the installation of several modular buildings including connections to the building. We recently delivered classroom facilities to Baskerville School in Birmingham as they had lost a considerable amount of space due to the discovery of RAAC. There were a number of challenges we faced during the planning and construction phase, parking suspensions, tree protection orders, badgers and bats are just a few!! However, despite all of the odds I am pleased to say we delivered earlier than originally expected too! Today, we returned to the school to deliver some supplies and toys for the students. We had the pleasure of hearing directly from the staff just how much they love the facilities and the difference it has made so far. The students that attend have a range of educational needs and adapting to new spaces isn’t always easy. Despite the disruption, the students are loving their new space in particular they love the light airy space and are really enjoying their new classrooms! It has been incredibly heart warming seeing the amazing work the staff at this school do and the care they provide to their students. Thank you to MSE Mechanical & Electrical Contractors for the donation of supplies and toys for the pupils as well as the amazing work despite the ground conditions we had to battle with!
