To mark St Patrick’s day colleagues in the UK and Ireland were out in style supporting their local parades. In Newbridge and Leeds our colleagues brought the Murphy green and plenty of smiles to all those attending. Check the comments for more photos and special shout outs to our Plant team, Stephen Henderson, Gary Simcock, Craig Pierce, Glenn Lyons, Tony Sandom and Kevin Mitchell for organising and driving the Murphy floats. Thanks also to Mariusz Chlopik in Leeds for working with local farmers Robert and Mark Stoker, along with Game Keeper Nick to obtain bales of hay for the float. #OneMurphy #StPatricksDay #construction #green

In celebration of International Women’s Day our teams in the UK and Ireland took part in a host of events designed to help create a future where everyone is treated equally: Our Golborne office held a special to recognise all the incredible women at Murphy at which they made commitments to continue supporting one another and pushing for progress. The Golborne team also had the pleasure of welcoming St. Thomas Primary School students to the office. This event gave the children the opportunity to explore the diverse roles across the company. It was a chance to inspire them and showcase the exciting opportunities that await them in the future. The Murphy Women’s Group in Ireland hosted a Leadership, Teamwork and Wellness seminar at our Cookstown office in Dublin. This event was facilitated by Stephen Bunney of Wellness Warrior. Apprentice Pipe Welder, Leah Murphy took part in a panel discussion at the Wexford Women’s Refuge International Women's Day Breakfast Event on Friday. As part of the Engineers Ireland Women’s Group, Harlene Doohan of our Water and Process Engineering team in Ireland attended the launch of two special postage stamps from An Post ahead of International Women’s Day. These stamps celebrate the work of Women in STEM, featuring two pioneering Irish scientists- Professor Jocelyn Bell Burnell, astrophysicist and Professor Aoife McLysaght, geneticist. A huge thank you to everyone who worked hard to make these events a success. All were incredible opportunities to inspire the next generation of construction leaders and promote equality. #OneMurphy #MoretoMurphy #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInConstruction #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInEngineering #InspiringFutureGenerations #IWD2025

Today marks International Women’s Day and this year its theme is ‘For ALL women and girls Rights. Equality. Empowerment’ with the focus all about ensuring we create a future where everyone is treated equally. At Murphy we aim to create ‘A great place to work where people feel secure and comfortable to be themselves’. Respect, Integrity and Accountability is one of our five core values, and we believe that inclusion is only truly embedded once this ‘secure and comfortable’ feeling is created permanently. In the UK and Ireland, colleagues have been engaging with the day through special events and we’ll be sharing photos next week about how they got on. You can also hear from Joanna Mulcahy, Commercial Director at Murphy, who shared her experiences of working in the construction industry with our EAP partner The Lighthouse Charity. https://lnkd.in/ecSBrsgP #OneMurphy #InternationalWomensDay2025 #IWD2025 #construction #equality
