VIDEO: Delivering affordable homes through partnership Throwback to when our MD for #Yorkshire and the #NorthEast, James Pitt, joined Place North East to explore how we’re working alongside our partners to address the #affordablehousing crisis. James sat down with Julia Hatmaker, to discuss the crucial role of public private #partnership in overcoming barriers to delivery and ‘unlocking’ tricky sites with complementary skillsets. He explains how we worked with partners at #Northshore in #StocktonOnTees, including Homes England, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and our sister company Lovell Partnerships Ltd, to unlock the delivery of #affordablehomes and create a wider, mixed-use riverside #neighbourhood. Creating high-quality workspaces In our towns and cities, high quality #office spaces are more than places to do business. They have a pivotal role to play in reviltalising #communities. In our latest #blog, Development Director, Simon Dew, discusses how high-quality workspaces contribute to communities and what it takes to create a successful one. Reflecting on the development of #OneCityPark in #Bradford, the blog highlights important factors in creating a high-quality office. "It’s vital that our places of work are embedded into the fabric of a place and that means workplaces that are active parts of their towns and cities, rather than being forgotten in an out-of-town office park." "RePower London: Infrastructure for growth" ⚡ We were delighted to attend the launch of NLA's "RePower London: Infrastructure for Growth" publication yesterday. The new guide sets out key recommendations to #decarbonise and #modernise the systems that keep #London running. London’s #infrastructure is facing significant challenges, constraining the capital’s ability to grow. The publication recommends “a #place-based approach, taking into account the optimal scale of delivery and forecasting the #community’s infrastructural needs, in the context of #energy transition.” Great to see our #LewishamGateway neighbourhood featured as an exemplar project, which models a #place-based approach to improving #infrastructure.
