Museums Association
Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos
A dynamic membership organisation and a vibrant network for everyone working in museums and heritage.
About us
A dynamic membership organisation and a vibrant network for everyone working in museums and heritage. The Museums Association exists to enhance the value of museums to society by sharing knowledge, developing skills, inspiring innovation and providing leadership. We advocate for museums, set ethical standards and run essential training and professional development for members wishing to further their careers. Our annual conference is Europe's largest event for museum and heritage professionals. We are the oldest museums association in the world, set up in 1889 to guard the interests of museums and galleries. Today we are still independently funded by our membership, which comprises museum professionals, freelancers and consultants, institutions and commercial members.
