VISIBLE FESTIVAL The Forum Norwich 9am to 5pm FRI 30th and SAT 31st AUGUST We hope to see some of you during the festival... there is lots on: In The Gallery you'll find the VIP Area (open to all) which showcases the stories of our Visible Inclusion Partners. This area also offers a calming/quiet space (in addition to the library) away from the main Atrium (9am to 5pm) In The Atrium there will be lots of exhibitors, including local charities and businesses that are passionate about neuroinclusion. There is also the chance to take part in a neuroinclusion study on the topic of employment and recruitment (9am to 5pm) In the Auditorium there will be 'Visible Voices', which offers a range of talks/presentations (10am to 3pm)... full listings/timings here > https://lnkd.in/eMqBRDJQ There is also a banner at the exit with a QR code which we hope visitors will use to give us their feedback... so that we can continue to grow and improve the event year on year. #Neurodiversity #VisibleFestival #VisibleNorfolk #JoinTheConversation

Are you neurodivergent? If the answer is 'YES' then please consider taking part in this study... Recruitment and Selection How can it be more neuroinclusive? My name is Leon Knight-Smith; I am CEO at Nansa - Norfolk and Norwich SEND Association, and as a student member of the CIPD, I am currently studying 'Strategic People Management'. As part of my studies, I must complete a 'Business Research in People Practice' project, and I have chosen to look at the ways in which an employer might ensure their recruitment and selection methods are more accommodating of neurodivergent candidates. First, all participants of this study will be required to provide their consent, by signing/dating an 'Ethics Participant' statement (section 1 of the survey). Second, all participants in this study will need to answer a qualifying question; all participants must identify as neurodivergent (although a formal diagnosis is not required). If you answer 'NO' to the qualifying question, your response/information will not be used in this research. All of the information you provide will be entirely anonymised in the final research paper, and your participation requires very limited personal information; you will not need to provide your age or gender, and will only need to provide one mode of contact (email or telephone number): so that in the event you wish to withdraw your consent, you can do so, and your response can be identified and eliminated. #neuroinclusion #neurodivergent #neurodiversity #autism #autistic #adhd #adhder #dyslexia #dyspraxia #dyscalculia #dysgraphia #ocd To participate in this study, please use the link provided to complete a survey/questionnaire that explores how you feel about typical recruitment methods. INTRODUCING... Adam, Hannah, Joshua, Ryan, Rachel, Laura, Allison, Mark and David. On August 30th to 31st 2024, Visible returns to The Forum in Norwich for our second Neurodiversity Festival, and this year our gallery will become the VIP Area, where we will showcase the life experiences of our VIPs. VIP stands for Visible Inclusion Partner, and it is the name we have given to the individuals invited to share their lived experience of neurodivergence at this year’s Visible Festival. The VIPs will come from all walks of life, and they will have a wide and varied range of experiences to share. Their stories will help us illustrate the breadth of the spectrum that is neurodiversity and offer visitors a relatable insight into what it means to be neurodivergent. Tomorrow (Thursday 9th May) we will release a special introduction video of the VIPs... but in the meantime, check out the Visible Website for more info (link in the comments).
