Last week, a spring-clad Bristol hosted the latest consortium meeting for the Horizon EU Green-Loop, an inspiring collaboration dedicated to advancing bio-based, circular, and sustainable solutions. Over two intensive days, partners from across Europe gathered to share progress, align strategies, and spark new ideas. Key highlights included: ✅ 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻: Updates on optimizing circularity for bio-based materials, focusing on reducing environmental and economic impacts through advanced LCA, LCC, and energy analyses. ✅ 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀: Discussions on the progress of bio-rubber, bio-plastics, and wood composites, emphasizing solutions that minimize ecological footprints while enhancing product quality. ✅ 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡-𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗣 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Demonstrations of the platform's new features, including optimization tools and real-time data integration to support sustainable decision-making. ✅ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀: Collaborative sessions to drive the standardization of bio-based materials, ensuring a stronger, more cohesive pathway for future innovations.
