We’d like to support YOUR local community: Since Navmoor’s inception some six years ago, we’ve been all about our community here in South Wales, sponsoring local children’s Rugby, Netball, Football, Motocross and Drama groups, as well as donating to food banks across the UK every Christmas, and sponsoring association events globally. This coming summer we’re doing the donations, but with a bit of a twist: If you work in the Maritime industry and believe a children’s club near you could benefit from our donation, simply drop us an email to itswhatwedo@navmoor.com with your club details and a point of contact and we’ll add them to the pot. Then on Thursday May 1st, 4 children from Nantyglo’s U6, U7, U8s and U9s Rugby teams will draw a club from the pot, and a second child from that team will draw the value of the donation. The values available will be as follows: 1 x £1,000 1 x £500 2 x £250 Email: itswhatwedo@navmoor.com Let’s put support where it’s needed, the present and the future! Good Luck! Oh, and please feel free to like, share and repost this to your network. :) Have a great weekend!!!

  • What a difference a few weeks make! We’ve been hard at it since moving premises: Factory Acceptance Tests, Fabrication, re-stocking all whilst staying on top of our production schedule. A few projects on their way out of the door here: Turnkey telemetry installation Rotating Beacon and Standby Port of Blyth Rotating Beacon, Fog Signal & PEL Port of Tyne 2.4M South Cardinal AIS Buoy for Associated British Ports S.Wales. Sectored Light for Fowey Harbour Commissioners MOD design, supply and install new Telemetry Control System. Bi-form upgrades for Port of Milford Haven 3Metre Met Data Buoy. A busy few weeks ahead installing all of the above to IALA standards. Aids to Navigation, it’s what we do!

  • We’ve moved! Or strictly speaking we’ve nearly moved 😊 As part of our exciting plans for growth, Navmoor has moved to a new premises in Neath, Swansea. We’ve been working hard to get our place kitted out to continue to serve our existing customers and allow a bit of room to serve new ones with our trusted IALA compliant AtoN Solutions. Our new place also helps make space for new additions to our team, including bringing fabrication in-house, and a testing bay/workshop for soak testing a system design. Whether it is buoy towers, mounting structures or associated bracketry, we now have even more flexibility and agility to support our tailored solutions. #MadeInWales #turnkey solutions #IALA Industrial Members #Ports

  • A January transfer window signing we’re all excited about… Anthony Barber joins Navmoor on a permanent deal. He’s a multi talented addition to the team having learned his trade in fabrication and processing before joining Openreach ‘on the tools’ in 2011, gaining promotion to Patch Lead in 2019 and most recently to Patch Manager in 2021. He joins with a wealth of experience in on-site installations, fault finding, workshop management, and apprentice leadership! Anthony enjoys his sports and hobbies, specifically: mountain biking, photography, football and rugby. He supports Everton FC, Bonymaen RFC but we’ll try not to hold those against him…. 😉 Welcome to the Navmoor team Anthony! “Hands off the guardrails” Sailor.

  • We’re obsessed with maritime safety, more specifically, we’re obsessed with Aids to Navigation and their varying applications and roles around our coastline. To assist our Ports & Harbours in achieving the highest possible availability of their AtoNs we do the following 24/7 365: - Maintain Buoys, Lights and Daymarks according to IALA and manufacturers guidelines. - Provide Service Level Agreements on all types of AtoNs - Integrate monitoring to provide real time alarms such as ‘off station’ or ‘low battery’. - Operate 24/7 365… If you need us, we’ll be there! Aids to Navigation, it’s what we do…. even at Christmas! Merry Christmas Buoys and Gulls 🎄🎅🏻, and thank you for all your support again this year. Looking forward to 2025. Best wishes Chris, George, Nick, Anthony, Laura, and Craig

  • As Storms Bert & Darragh swept across the UK, bringing powerful winds and massive waves, Navmoor’s data buoys stood resilient, capturing and transmitting vital real-time information. Our state-of-the-art buoys recorded significant waves of 6.19m, suggesting up to 11m waves off the north coast of Wales… with wind speeds exceeding 70 knots. This critical data was made available through Navmoor’s online portal, empowering us with: - Real-time situational awareness of rapidly changing conditions. - The ability to set custom alarms for any measured parameter, ensuring immediate alerts for safety-critical thresholds such as waves and wind. - Actionable insights to adapt operations, protect crews, and minimize risks during extreme weather. Whether it’s during calm seas or challenging storms, Navmoor is dedicated to equipping our ports and the greater maritime industry with the tools they need to navigate safely and confidently. A big thank you to our team and partners who continue to push the boundaries of innovation in marine technology. Since Navmoor’s inception we’ve listened to the Port Operators’ feedback and ideas, enabling us to make our AtoNMote monitoring board truly unique. We added ability and agility whereby basic monitoring of AtoNs or complex monitoring of multiple sensors, inputs and outputs (MET Stations or Data Buoys) are now done from our ‘in-house’ circuit board, and the very same board is now capable of IoT, GSM, or LoRa as standard, with a simple plugin where satcom is required… probably the most comprehensive real-time AtoN monitoring and control system in the world!!! For a detailed overview, or to discuss your ideas simply email info@navmoor.com or why not go old school and give us call: 02922 638222 ask for Nick Photo: Hinkley Point C 2021 Navmoor was/is responsible for the initial supply, installation and maintenance of 13 Navigation buoys; two of which are ‘Full Data Buoys’. #ports #aidstonavigation #databuoys
