🚨 Spring Statement 2025: What it means for charities 🚨 Today’s Spring Statement sets the government’s economic direction at a time of tight public finances. While not a full budget, it includes significant changes that will directly impact charities and the communities they support. It’s clear that fundamental reform of public services is needed. But today’s Spring Statement comes with tough choices, including £5bn in welfare cuts, NHS England’s abolition, and tighter public funding - decisions that could increase demand on charities while reducing support for those who need it most. ⚠️ NCVO’s stance: Many charities are deeply concerned about how benefits changes will impact communities. As organisations delivering frontline services, we urge government to work closely with the voluntary sector to ensure reforms improve lives, not deepen existing challenges. 💡 What’s next? The Spending Review in June will set future budgets - we’ll keep fighting for the sector’s voice to be heard. 📢 How we’re supporting you 🔹 Watch the latest practical support webinar, Building financial confidence in challenging times: https://lnkd.in/eMnJJvX5 🔹Read our help and guidance for practical tips and step-by-step guides on how to find the money you need for your charity: https://lnkd.in/gGxtWraS 🔹Check out our training courses: https://lnkd.in/eXYCBjkm 🔹Browse our trusted suppliers who can help you with financial planning and reducing energy costs: https://lnkd.in/eDrTk3Xi Read our full round-up of the government’s Spring Statement here: https://lnkd.in/eP3p3gSq #SpringStatement2025
