Change that leads to better lives.
About us
We want a world where everyone matters. Our work helps create opportunities for independence and choice for everyone. We’re an independent, not-for-profit organisation that has worked alongside people, communities, policy makers, support organisations and services for over 30 years. At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to uphold, protect, and promote people’s human rights. Human rights are non-negotiable and make sure that people are treated with dignity, respect, fairness and have a say over matters that affect their lives. We’re an inclusive, values driven organisation and at our core is partnership, collaboration, contribution and sharing learning. Working with people and partners, we listen, understand what works, and support change happening. Our passionate and committed team raises aspirations and outcomes for children and young people at risk of exclusion, people who have a learning disability, autistic people, older people and everyone’s mental health and wellbeing. Our work includes development support, research, change, leadership development, evaluation and much more. Together we influence and contribute to policy decisions and guidance that can support us all to be treated equally and live a good life. We create innovative, fresh approaches that work. Wherever our work takes us, there’s always one thing in common, we put people’s voices at the centre of every action we take. We are NDTi.

We do not often have new roles to advertise at NDTi therefore we are delighted to share we are recruiting for an Evaluation and Learning Lead. Are you an experienced evaluator looking for a supportive, flexible employer who is making a real difference to people’s lives? We are seeking to appoint an Evaluation and Learning Lead with at least three years of experience of delivering leading edge practice in relation to evaluation and learning activities to join our friendly and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to design and deliver evaluation projects within a social change organisation working to enable people at risk of exclusion, due to age or disability, to live the life they choose. Evidencing impact and outcomes cuts across all the work that NDTi does. Our research and evaluation team take a values-based approach to our programme of work, combining methodological rigour with a practical understanding of the real world in which supports and public services are delivered. Our evaluation work is grounded in theory-based and realist approaches that seek to answer the fundamental questions of how, why and in what context, an intervention works. To apply please follow this link to an online application form to apply. https://lnkd.in/eAqPDjzk The closing date for completed applications is 10am on Monday 25th November 2024. NDTi care about and value diversity in our workplace and is committed to equality of opportunity. Currently, our team is not sufficiently reflective of the diversity of the communities and people we strive to create positive change for. We want to redress this imbalance and recognise the positive value of diversity, promote equality and challenge unfair discrimination. We aim at all times to recruit the person who is most suited to the job and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds – men and women, people of all ages, sexual orientations, nationalities, religions and beliefs. However, we particularly encourage applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, as presently these groups are underrepresented across our organisation.

My Life My Choice members Benjamin McCay, Kumudu and Katie worked on the STOMP and STAMP project launched by NHS England which aims to stop the overuse of psychotropic medicines for people with a learning disability. Ben, Kumudu and Katie helped to analyse some of the findings and thought about who it would be important to involve in the project. They all agreed that making sure that people with learning disabilities were not over medicated was really important, and felt all staff involved with this should receive more training. 👇 See the full report below. #NHS #Healthcare #Learningdisabilities
Many people with learning disabilities or autistic people are prescribed psychotropic medications without proper justification.
