This week Paul Patras and Marco Fiore participated in the fourth plenary meeting of the EU-funded ORIGAMI Project in Madrid 🇪🇸 All partners came together to discuss the on-going activities, specifically focusing on: - Fostering additional cooperation among partners towards the design and implementation of original solutions for network intelligence that build on major architectural innovations proposed by ORIGAMI; - Ensuring that the innovations developed in ORIGAMI impact the standardization of 5G and 6G technologies by establishing tight relationships with 3GPP, which is the main standardization body in the mobile telco ecosystem; - Confirming the capabilities of the project to produce live demonstrators for a number of developed solutions, including in industry-grade experimental platforms, at large-scale production-level test sites, or directly in production environments. Among other things, in this episode of Digitel Talk recorded at Network X in Paris, Paul explains why he thinks operators will need time to adopt the cloud-native paradigm. He also talks about Net AI’s initial approach to building software: "We wanted to be future-proof right from the start, so we started software development with a cloud-native mindset at the core of everything we've built. All of our software is a microservice. One can choose from different modules and put them together or just acquire some of them separately.
