RWE together with Dragon LNG and Dragon Energy is exploring options to apply carbon capture technology at Pembroke power station, a key part of the Pembroke Net Zero Centre (PNZC) initiative. This plant could provide up to 2.2 GW of decarbonised, secure, and flexible energy, enough to power around 4.3 million homes, and capture up to 5 million tonnes of CO₂ annually. Feasibility studies have been delivered on technology options, with consultation expected during 2025.
