Our team was delighted to support the Climate Collaboration Forum earlier this month with FinTech-Tables’, alongside partners that included barclays, zuehlke group, Mastercard, Net Zero Nation, Greenbackers Investment Capital, CienDos and many more! 🌍 The sold-out event brought together finance stakeholders to share knowledge, challenges and opportunities around #sustainability goals, with AstroAgency hosting a panel on the role of #space in #netzero targets and #ESG. Thanks to our insightful panellists Peter Young, Sue Kee, Robin Sampson and Dan Osrin for demonstrating how #Satellite data informs climate change efforts, and to Ian Davey for all his hard work behind the scenes. The Climate Collaboration Forum highlighted the urgent need for a sustainable future, and we’re proud to be supporting so many space companies with this goal as their north star! 🌱 #Climate #SpaceIndustry #SpaceSustainability #Sustainability #NetZero #FTClimate

🏗 Branch Focus: Lerwick 🛠 The Shetland Isles have a long and proud association with the energy sector, leading the way with innovation and expertise since the emergence of the North Sea oil industry in the 1970s. Now, as the world transitions to #netzero, Shetland is on the cusp of a clean energy revolution with nationally significant developments including tidal generation and wind power. Situated on the east coast of the mainland, Lerwick is Shetland’s capital. With its natural harbour, and surrounded by some of the richest fishing grounds in the world, it’s also a real hub for the Scottish fisheries and aquaculture industries. Supporting all local trades, industries and DIY customers, our Lerwick shop stocks a wide range of safety supplies, PPE, workwear, tools and consumables from leading brands including Portwest, Helly Hansen, Sioen Industries, 3M, Makita UK, Draper Tools and Sealey Tools. A day focused on Net Zero I attended the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) conference in Edinburgh yesterday. The conference focused on discussions of the role of standards in supporting the journey to Net Zero. I met many from across the globe who support the same vision as we do at Net Zero Nation and heard a great talk by Russell Dalgleish who presented the need and accomplishments of Net Zero Nation. As a Heriot-Watt University graduate, it was a pleasure in the evening to attend an event at Panmure House the former home of Adam Smith.

Our board member Russell Dalgleish giving the keynote speech at BSIs #IECGM2024. He took time to highlight just how fundemental community and cooperation are to every businesses #NetZero journey. Something we hold at the heart of Net Zero Nation as we strive to support our expanding community of organisations all accelerating towards Net Zero. #ClimateChange #Sustainability #Business #SMEs
As we wrap up the BSI Net Zero showcase day at the #IECGM2024, we were honoured to hear from Russell Dalgleish, Chair & Co-Founder of the Scottish Business Network. A true entrepreneur, Russell shared his insights on the critical role of collaboration and innovation in achieving our Net Zero goals. Russell stated: "No single organization can solve Net Zero challenges alone. Collaboration is key. Standards are crucial to driving change. They provide a clear roadmap and foster collaboration, enabling us to collectively reach our Net Zero goals and protect our planet. Together, we can create a thriving sustainable future." A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the showcase days - industry experts, academia, students, young professionals, policymakers, and the general public. Your contributions made this event a resounding success. #BSIatIECGM #BSIEvents #NetZero #Sustainability
