Working to deliver the East Coast Cluster, the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster

About us

Net Zero Teesside is a Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) project based in Teesside and part the East Coast Cluster, which by uniting the Teesside and Humber regions, offers the UK's biggest opportunity to decarbonise industry. Enabled by the CCUS infrastructure of the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP), the ECC aims to start decarbonising carbon-intensive businesses by 2026. The NEP, as part of the UK Government’s Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS) cluster sequencing process, is bidding to develop the common infrastructure needed to transport CO2 from emitters across the Humber and Teesside to secure offshore storage in the Endurance aquifer in the Southern North Sea.
