𝗛𝗦𝗘𝗤 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 Network Plus #HSEQ leaders have just hosted the company's first all-team workshop at Manchester Chamber of Commerce . In her opening remarks Ellen Ludwig, Group HSEQ Director, highlighted the critical role the team plays in advancing our approach to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality - setting the stage for a collaborative and engaging session. In line with the recent launch of our five-year HSEQ strategy, the team gathered to reassess its vision, purpose and objectives. The goal of the session was to ensure that the HSEQ function remains fully aligned with supporting all areas of the business in embedding and implementing the new strategy effectively. Through this focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, Network Plus is positioning itself to meet its HSEQ goals and embed these core principles more deeply into our organisational culture. #healthandsafety #utilities #infrastructure

𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 (𝗦𝗕𝗧𝘀) 𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀’𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Network Plus continues to make progress on carbon emissions, with near-term Science Based Targets (SBTs) now in place to plot emissions reductions for the next 10 years.  The company’s net zero target is 2040 – targets which will be achieved through sustainable business practice, internal training to optimise carbon savings from electric plant, equipment and vehicles, and through value chain collaboration – demonstrating a dedication to positive environmental impacts. Electric telehandlers are replacing diesel models at Network Plus depots, while teams have been trialling electric rammers, whackers, breakers, saws and excavators. A transition away from hot mix- to warm mix-asphalt will also deliver carbon savings in line with SBT requirements. Network Plus’s performance and progress is independently validated in line with the requirements of the science-based target initiative (SBTi).  #sustainability #netzero #utilities #sbt

We’ve been back to St Richard's Primary School in #Skelmersdale to see how their allotment is progressing since we launched the project together earlier this year. Back in January we levelled the ground, built planters, installed a covered seating area and even made an insect hotel – all part of our first Graduate #Sustainability Challenge. And wow, what a difference the summer – and the children’s hard work – has made! Carrots, potatoes, onions, beetroot, peas…enough veg for the ‘farm shop’ made by the children with a little help from our Network Plus colleagues Abi Robinson, Nicholl Owen and Eve Leary. Who knows what St Richard’s will have in store for us on our next visit?
