Eating Seasonally: A Boost for Your Health and the Environment 🥦🥕 🌍 As the colder months approach, embracing seasonal eating is a powerful way to support both your health and the planet. At Net Zero Group, we believe that making small, mindful changes in our food choices can help us all reduce our carbon footprint. While food transport only accounts for around 10% of carbon emissions, growing out-of-season produce in heated greenhouses or importing foods from far-off locations has a much larger impact. By eating what’s in season, we reduce the energy needed to produce and supply our food, contributing to lower overall carbon emissions. Check out the article below for more on the benefits of seasonal eating and how you can make eco-conscious choices this winter! #Sustainability #NetZero #SeasonalEating #EcoFriendlyDiet Source: https://lnkd.in/e29BbxnA

F1 Powers Up with Renewable Energy at European Races As part of its net-zero carbon goal by 2030, F1 will replace diesel generators with renewable energy solutions at all European Grand Prix events. After successful trials with Aggreko, the new system—featuring solar power, bioenergy, and battery storage—will reduce operational emissions by 90% in the Paddock, Pit Lane, and broadcast areas. However, F1’s latest impact report highlights that logistics remains the largest source of emissions, making up 49% of their total footprint. This is a significant step toward making F1 both thrilling and sustainable. #Sustainability #F1 #RenewableEnergy

Key Insights from Sphera's Scope 3 Report: - 49% of companies surveyed voluntarily submit sustainability and ESG reports. It's evident that while progress is being made, there's still much work ahead, as less than half of the companies are reporting on sustainability. - 60% of large companies are reporting across Scopes 1-3, reflecting a growing commitment to comprehensive carbon accounting. - 67% of respondents highlight external data availability as a major challenge for their teams. - 26% of small businesses surveyed are starting to address their GHG emissions, signalling an important shift toward sustainability. These findings offer a compelling snapshot of the current state of carbon accounting, emphasising both the strides being made and the challenges that remain. Engaging businesses in sustainability continues to be a challenge, but the progress we're seeing is encouraging. There's still a long road ahead, but each step forward is a step in the right direction.
