A shout out to Lydia Angus and her team who have been driving the incredible Ceerose Haymarket Hotel development. It is a great example of how, with a lot of collaboration (and engineering data!), both engineering and design excellence can be achieved on this striking 31-story heritage project. Addressing the challenges of integrating heritage, innovating structures, and city logistics is no simple task. Turning it into a 31-story gingerbread house is quite an achievement in itself! We look forward to seeing this complex project progress in the coming stages. Helping property professionals engineer better buildings with trusted expertise and hyper-streamlined cloud technology.
About us
Neuron is part of a growing group of industry experts and proptech innovators committed to setting a new standard for design outcomes. Seamlessly integrated cloud-based technology empowers Neuron users with real-time engineering solutions to drive efficient, innovative and sustainable design. Tapping into lifetimes of engineering expertise, Neuron’s powerful algorithms crunch thousands of numbers in seconds (not weeks), helping to make complex decisions with confidence quickly. This hyper-streamlined process ensures that only the most efficient, cost-effective and innovative design solutions make the cut. This drastic reduction in engineering planning time not only improves design outcomes, it also increases the likelihood of achieving DA approval. Setting up a project for success, it’s a win-win for clients and consultants alike. We are looking for future-oriented industry leaders and organisations to join our group on an exciting journey to demonstrate what “better” looks like. In doing this, we can collectively revolutionise how we design buildings and communities for future generations. Unlock better design outcomes with data-driven advice on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, and lift engineering services. www.neuron.build

We're excited to welcome Haolin Tian (Victor) to the Neuron team! After starting as an intern in 2022 while completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, we are delighted that Victor has joined our tech team as a permanent employee. Victor was also the Director of Aerostructures in UNSW's Design Build Fly program, contributing to fuselage design, prototype manufacturing, and the first successful competition in UNSW DBF history for the AIAA DBF 2024 Competition. We're thrilled to have him on board permanently. Welcome, Victor! #Neuron #team #growth #impact #welcome

Neuron is incredibly honoured to be part of the project team transforming the iconic InterContinental Hotel at 33 Cross Street, Double Bay, into a "once-in-a-generation" redevelopment project. A big shout-out to our amazing engineer, Tahnee Church, whose expertise and leadership have been instrumental in coordinating the complex engineering systems into the design, bringing this vision to life. "Working with Cox Architecture and the project team on 33 Cross Street has been incredibly rewarding. This iconic lifestyle destination is designed with a timeless quality that honours the site's history. It will be a captivating addition to The Double Bay Village.. -- Tahnee, Building Services Engineer. Led by Capitel Group and Rebel Property Group, the $1 billion, 3,674 sqm precinct will feature high-end retail and dining, a boutique hotel, office suites, a wellness centre, and luxury residences. Amazing festive accomplishments from our Lydia Angus!
Back by popular demand! This year, I transformed one of Neuron's projects into gingerbread: a 31-storey hotel on George Street, developed with Ceerose and Architecture AND. Lessons learned along the way: - Structural considerations for cantilevered towers are far more complex than for houses. - Gingerbread performs poorly under tension and lacks ductility. - Don’t forget to consider the depth of your materials—mid-construction changes are a pain! Wishing everyone a holiday season filled with joy, creativity, and a little engineering magic! https://lnkd.in/gdVn3C_w Nicholas Bucci, Andrew Burns, Corey Munro

What a wonderful way to finish off the year; Ross Harding with his team at Finding Infinity, Neeson Murcutt Neille, and Monash Urban Lab won the NSW Housing Pattern Book Design Competition, a project we massively enjoyed supporting. From 212 entries from around the world, to 21 shortlisted designs and then being selected as a winner... an incredible achievement by the team! Read more from the NSW Government on the winning design here: https://lnkd.in/gPHqrt9r Please note that our office will be closed from December 20th until January 6th. Massive thanks to all of our clients and collaborators this year. We look forward to seeing you in the new year, refreshed and ready to go! #Neuron #engineering #patternbook #designcompetition #winners

What a year it’s been! 2024 has been a year of growth (and a lot of hard work), and with our team at industry events across the country this month, we're reminded that we are, first and foremost, a people business. Relationships with our colleagues, clients and industry peers are at the core of everything we do, and it’s these connections that make our work so rewarding. #propertyindustry #professionaldevelopment #industryevents #collaboration #innovation

Driving value looks different on every project, and we wanted to share our recent work with Iris Capital on the redevelopment project at 67 Hume Highway, Chullora. The site included an existing pub, which posed a unique challenge requiring careful coordination apart from the proposed residential area. We completed a thorough engineering options analysis, and within just three days, we delivered an optimised plant and servicing strategy, reducing the typical timeframe by several weeks. The site’s complexity, with multiple buildings at various stages of development, posed significant challenges for the engineering design. Because Neuron could handle 80% of the design within the first few days of the project, our team spent their time on the "fun stuff", which for us is innovative problem-solving and collaboration with the project team. Maximising project development value is always front and centre of our minds at Neuron. So, in this challenging feasibility environment, it's great to see several of our recent projects pushing ahead into construction, including this wonderful site by Urban Property Group in Little Bay. The project is currently amid bulk excavations, with bulk earthworks at the halfway point. Stage one is complete, and over 10,000 sqm of sandstone has been excavated. Congratulations to the architect, Hill Thalis, and the broader project team. #Neuron #innovation #feasibility #value #engineering
Interested in how construction is progressing at our waterside residential development in Little Bay? We're currently in the midst of bulk excavations, with bulk earthworks at the halfway point. Over 10,000m³ of sandstone has already been excavated and stage one of our site establishment has now been completed. This month, we’re looking forward to having our tower crane erected at our premium project, which offers uninterrupted water views and is surrounded by some of Sydney’s best golf courses. We look forward to sharing more updates as our project comes to life. #Property #Construction #Residential
